  1. Plenty of fantastic smaller framed furniture exists in the game as i have shown in Tomra, in the Dwarven-only housing.
The fact that this alone hasn't been made available to players only bolsters the issue of trying to unify every furniture item to be used by everyone, which i personally think is a nice idea, but if designs cannot be created that look good, what is the point of trying to go around the decision to just incorporate things that just work better for some playable races than others?
    It's a weird one.

  2. Okie, so hear me out… give us a magitek chair (and maybe matching table for a set) that gives us access to a separate hot bar, like mounts and fashion accessories do, that would come with a pair of special actions that let us raise or lower our seat while we're sitting in it 🙂

  3. I'm very much hoping we get more Lalafell-sized furniture and am predicting that will be the case when one of the next 2 expansions take us south to Meracydia … For the Lalafell main homeland are a chain of islands somewhere to the south as well.

  4. i think the "high chair" issue stems more from the white and pastel color scheme more than anything else. if it dyed better, it would have a lot more utilization, especially as barstools as many other comments have mentioned.

  5. It’s amazing just what people take as “offensive” in this day and age. It’s like that meme about how everything “new” that comes out HAS to have a way of victimizing someone. 😂

  6. since only lallafels can enter dwarven homes, they probably didn't code other races to sit on that stuff. It's a nice touch, but I can understand them not wanting to make the additional seating animations.

  7. The thumbnail for the item really doesn't help, the chair in the icon really looks like a kids highchair
In game it looks quite a bit better but it still looks kinda silly given how large it is and how its meant to be a lala item, yet they probably look the silliest on it due to how much space is at the back. A regular high bar stool will have done the same job better.

Definitely agree on the dwarven items as options, that would be a very nice addition.

  8. As someone with a lala alt, I think the lala lifter is…cute in concept, but executed poorly. Every single person I've shown it to all think it looks like a high chair. x.x; The angle of the icon and the cutesy coloring likely does not help it. If it was brown, maybe it'd look better? I dunno.

  9. I gave up years ago in getting anything properly sized for my character, shadowbringers gave a bit of hope, then the news of a "personalized island" gave even more, then I found out that even everything on my own private island was built for a Hrothgar, and now I realize it's simply never going to happen, dev team just doesn't care enough to bother with it.

  10. Hmmm… too bad the runner on the table doesn't dye. Otherwise I might be able to find a use for that.
As for the chair, the design and colour really doesn't help anything. It just sort of screams "baby" even without the sort of basket seat you usually see in a high chair.

  11. Honestly, the chair really isn't the problem. I think it's cute ^^

It's a 'certain' part of the community who can't help but treat players badly based purely on their playable race. The chair didn't harass anyone or call them slurs, but that person in a leveling dungeon definitely did. I'd argue the vast majority of Lalafell players have experienced targeted harassment in-game solely because they played a Lalafell, and that it's a bigger problem than people realise. I know of several people who've Fantasia'd away from Lalafell, solely to bring an end to the harassment they were getting. I've had some low-level harassment myself, and it gets grating at times when I'm just trying to have fun in-game.

  12. As a Lalafell, I agree that the Dwarven furniture would be much better… one of my qualms (aside "baby chair") is the choice of it it being pastel coloured (childish-esque) instead of natural wood colours and textures.

  13. I'd prefer it, if it had a different base wood color, or perhaps if it were dyable completely. The colors put me off from wanting to use. I'm glad for those who can make use of though.

  14. Honestly the only minor issue I see with the chair, is they picked very "babyish" colours for the base color scheme. I think had they chosen a darker wood texture it'd throw off that childish feeling, even when dying the cushions black it already throws it out a-little.

Think the outrage over it, like usual is a-little much but can see their point.
