  1. Great video, lots of good advice. I remember you saying you're new to content creation but come across as someone who's genuinely been doing it for years effortlessly.

Just wanted to share what helped me personally.

I made my hotbars smaller so they didn't block anything on screen.
I use and MMO mouse so I changed the shape of my hotbars to match the same layout as the mouse.
I moved the boss health and debuffs down to right above my hotbars so my eyes don't have to go from the bottom of the monitor to the top and back down. I find it useful for seeing when other players activate boss debuffs.
I split my personal buffs/debuffs off to the side and made them a lot bigger to help me see.
I made the boss cast bar huge and put it right near the boss's health bar.
I changed the camera tilt from default to 60-70.
I changed other players effects to simple.

  2. As a tip for being able to visualize your UI in a raid setting without affecting other players while you set it up, you can go into The Mothercrystal, an 8 man trial with NPCs in EW, and set it up there

  3. If using controller and unable to right click to focus target, you can instead create a macro and assign that macro to number 99 which is the right stick click by default also known as R3. Also, the left stick is number 98 macro for L3. Example I use L3 to summon mount and R3 for Set focus target.

  4. I'm also on the same size and ratio monitor, and was surprised with how many of these things I already do. However my screen had much more clutter because I unhid KBM hotbars to duplicate certain key abilities in my rotation so I see them at a glance. With your advice to memorize rotation outside of combat, a lot of these things are making sense. One thing I was surprised by, was that your minimap is so far away. Maybe it's just because I'm a PLD, but I've been trying to keep it closer to where I can see it. Pointing the boss north can be a pain on some fights. I also move my camera up, just like you do. But I was surprised that you had the enemy cast bar right where your characters feet are.

    Thanks for all the tips!
