FFXIV – How to make gil in 2021! – 20 different methods for inspiration w. timestamps & guides.

Hey everyone.
TIMESTAMPS BELOW!!!
This was soooo so so huge a project to make, and of course YT found many more good guides that propped up in my search bar after I went out of my way to try to find guides that explained some of these methods. ^^;;

So, yeah… There are a LOT of great guides out there, and I have not even touched half of them. Feel free to mention methods or guides or creators below, to help share the love and knowledge here. 😀

I have deliberately gone for slightly less-known creators if I found a guide helpful, in order to also help our content creator community grow. 😀 I hope you’ll check some of them out and give them a look!

  1. maybe I should start doing map selling. Would like to do map running though, just not one to roll on stuff I don't need just to sell. Rather not feel bad in taking something someone needs. Minion, g;lam materials. I only grab what I need and that it. Stuff like hair from raid shouldn't have been sellable. I wonder if they will ever unsync the treasure rooms.

  2. Wow. That must have been a lot of work. I very much appreciate the links to other creators for each subsection as I joined the game only 3 weeks ago and have so much to learn. Thanks a lot Fay!
    [Instant sub…obviously.] =)

  3. Special note on the Treasure Map Dungeons… Blue Mages can solo the level 60 and level 70 treasure dungeons with the right skills and careful play. So that's more stuff and it's all for you!

  4. There are tradecraft leve quests that requests say a item that could be plentiful at lower levels, you can spam those quest over and over again for certain leve npcs because they do not have enough varieties to get swapped out. Even better if you can get your hand at HQ items that can be traded in for double the rewards.

    You earn 8 points for leve quests each day and sometimes you don't play for a day or week and forgot about it, and it ends up capping at 100 points.

  5. a few eureka items can sell for a pretty nice amount, also the curious crop exchange in the housing districts are easy money if you grow or even buy voidrake or althyk lavender you can buy bearskin and blue fox hides, by the way i have a gil making channel on our discord and this is basically a comprehensive list of most of what I do and I shared it on the channel, great job as always Fay!

  6. The stupidest thing on youtube is "how to make money" videos.
    It's literally basic economics, if a market is flooded, prices go down and you won't make much money anymore.
    If you have a money making method you don't tell anyone. Really you're just messing with newbies that don't know any better

  7. A side not, I've noticed that I can carry 2 of a given map by putting one in my chocobo saddle bag. I can have one in there and one in my inventory of the same type.

  10. One you missed out on: Blue Mage! If you do your weekly Masked Carnival/Blue Mage Log bonus challenges you get a nice sum of gil, but also Poetics and Allied Seals. Those seals can be used to buy Ventures for your Retainers, but more importantly, Aetheryte Tickets. All of these gil making techniques probably involve a lot of teleporting, so use those tickets to make all those trips free of charge. The best way to make money is to not spend it in the first place.
