One thing about the "Dragoon doesnt get aoe till 40/72" is a strange thing, because factually it does get aoe at 40. But since it doesnt get the 2nd combo step till stormblood, it feels VERY bizarre and niche as an ability. Especially since it is a line aoe. I do feel like this fits Dragoon to do those, but it really just does feel bad and gimmicky that you have to only spam one button like you're a Bard or Machinist. And now Bard gets a follow up, so it feels much better on aoe. Meanwhile Dragoon has this 22 level gap where you have to have to remember 3 different scenarios for if you spam your 1 single aoe button during packs (using single target combo, grabbing your step 2 buff before aoe spam, or just skipping the buff entirely). While that is tactical and requires decision making, which is a good thing, it makes dragoon feel incredibly weird to use dragoon for Aoe because almost every other non-healer job has variation in it's aoe before DRG gets a hint of a step 2. Probably one of the exceptions is MCH, and that at least has heat gauge AND now flamethrower is easier to use.
Obviously if any job was gonna fixate on the "I am attacking this one thing" it is Guy With Big Pointy Stick, but alas, it still feels bad. This concludes my strangely specific opinions (in which I probably made incorrect claims cause i forgot something)
