  1. Okay so…I think the trailer looks good. That being said (And I have actually been playing since 2.0) my hype level for this expansion is about a 4 out of 10. In comparison, when HW was announced, and we could fly, I was at about an 8/10 hype level. For Shadowbringers, I would say I was a full 9/10 onboard the hype train.

This…I dunno, I guess it is needed after saving the universe. If you look at a classic "plot triangle" we are on the "falling action" side however, tbh I am a bit over the scions. I am not a fan of Graha like 90% of the fanbase is. I DO like Erenville…I think he is pretty interesting and I am glad he is coming with us.

I hope it is a good expansion, and I will play it at launch…but im feeling a little meh about it compared to the last expansions.

Lastly, I think the WoL is some kind of Corsair/Swashbuckler/Pirate type job. He probably has that one handed sword and a pistol tucked under the burlap bag.

  2. My guess on the shirt hint to the new classes.. Weapon Master for the melee dps and Green Mage for the caster dps. They were Green.. and it showed all their weapons.

  3. My first thought watching the trailer and seeing all the water was "God please no more swimming areas like in Storm Blood!" The underwater "blur" effect or however you want to describe it really bothers my eyes.

Also, one of the biggest reasons FFXIV is my favorite MMO of all time isn't just the obvious like the story and whatnot. But it is the fact that the devs are so "QoL" friendly. Argument of addons aside (I am against them personally but don't care if others want them), they consistently do things to make this game so accessible to even the casualist of casuals. The duty support system was a huge QoL for casuals or anti-socials. Flying is something I think a lot of people take for granted (been playing LOTRO lately and traveling in that game majorly sucks!!!). And the little Raid/Trial planner we saw here. That's not something they needed to do by any means. But they consistently come up with things to improve the experience for players. They are not shy about making the game casual friendly, and that's what I love about it. Even now as I am a couple patches behind, I know it will not be some massive slog to catch up when I come back.

  4. Something people sometimes miss is the fact that Yoshida, Foxclon, and Soken are trying to speak better English. Foxclon, if memory serves, is actually taking classes to become fluent in our tongue and the results, regardless of whether he is or isn't, are readily apparent. Yoshida used to be able to say maybe a handful, but you can tell because of the time he has to invest with interviews, etc, he's putting in effort. Soken, due to his love of rock probably picks up on things from what people say to him and from songs he listens to for inspiration.
