Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker has been out for 8 days, and has been renamed Queuewalker by players stuck in a battle to login. Yoshi-P provides an update on the state of the servers as he and the teamwork to resolve the long waits

  1. I love how they take time and explained to us about the technical issue in details and be generalize at the same time. I am glad that I able to experience and enjoy the game after the queue. It was worthy!

  3. The issue I'm noticing when I'm lucky to log on are I keep seeing the same players standing in the same spot for hours and just to afk. Some people don't want to log off so they can share their slot.

  10. I'll just stop playing ff14 until they build new servers and fix these login and server issues, aka, 2023 and beyond. Luckily pso2 ngs is getting new content and ff7 remake is coming to pc next week.

  12. Waiting hasn’t been a problem for me. My problem now has been that I keep getting kick off the server. I was at the finale boss and during that fight the game froze 3 or 4 times. I had to exit out the game because it wouldn’t let me select my character after getting it kicked. I was thankfully able to beat it but the cutscenes afterwards kept kicking me out! I know it’s not my connection since I use a lan cable and have fiber internet so I don’t know what the issue is.

  13. the guy is a legend in my mind total transparency from him and the team is unheard off anywhere else. being a victim of its own success is nothing to be ashamed off it is something to be proud off. we as the player base should also be proud of are self's for understanding the problems facing the team at the moment and offering are full support by doing what we are doing sticking by the team not raging on social media. yes its a pain in the rear end being in a que for 3 or more hours getting booted because of packet loss or instable internet connections but it is something we all will just have to live with for a bit . have you tried to make a new pc at the moment? you can not unless you are willing to get scalped and are willing to pay way over the odds for parts .now imagine trying to build new servers in the current conditions the world needs some of the same materials to produce vaccine as it do's chips. i for one are happy to sit in a game lobby for as long as it takes if it means a friend in my fc gets to live and play with me after getting a covid jab or two hell i would be happy to sit in the lobby if it means the grumpy old lady down the street that is always moaning about the kids playing football in the park when she wants to walk her rat on a lead (sorry i meant little yappy dog) gets to live. now i have said it i want one if the team actually reads this i would like a rat on a lead minion please.

  19. Not on board with visiting other datacenters during peak hours, would result in long queues all day long. For me that would change the situation from being able to play during weekends when I can login during the morning, into a situation where I would not be able to play at all.

    On them working to improve the situation. I do believe that they are doing everything they can, and I do believe that Yoshi-P hates this current situation more then we do.
    Even so, and this they know, there will come a point when doing their best is not going to be good enough for many players and then the game will bleed players that prefer to play games they can actually play, and this suck for the devs who have made an amazing expansion.
    Still find it funny that loging into the game requires a better internet connection then actually playing the game.
