  1. Thank you! Not sure if I’m the only one, but I never play heals but actually want to start with SGE. It’s intimidating on controller because of targeting though. Would be very interested in a new healer controller guide.

  2. Okay I need to go back and watch your original guide. I’ve used controllers for years and didn’t know you can have the extra sets up above set one. I always hold bumper and directional to switch over then switch back lol.

  3. I macro Offensive spells to not only target but tank target so you can autotarget enemies while healing without having to deselect the tank. Let's you weave healing between damage abilities easier.

  4. For targeting I've found setting up 2 macros can help a lot. Focus target is immensely helpful to a healer. You can focus the tank (or an npc) and see how long your buffs are gonna stay up on the tank and/or then quickly target your focus.

    I do this via:

    /focustarget <t>
    /target <focus>

I will put the first one somewhere out of the way because it's usually a set and forget.

I'll put the 2nd one somewhere I can press often so I can get back to my focus quickly.

I hope this helps someone as much as it helped me. Also good on off tanks.

  5. Hi Brian. So, to start endwalker I decided to give a spin to the controller style of play. I'm loving it so far, so I thank you for your support making your guides. They have helped me a lot. However I have a question. So far I have been using an old PS4 controller I was not using anymore. I would like to know if there is a controller that feels better, since some buttons feel rather weird to press (basically the two middle buttons). Thank you in advance for your input.

  6. Your controller guides helped me get used to playing FFXIV on my PS4. Even though I'm no longer a sprout, I still watch your guides because the content is just so good. Thanks for the work you do.

  7. I was hoping someone would upload this one day. I wanted to do healing for a while but scared because… controller. Me specifically, I put all of my offensive skills (plus a fee heals and support because wow thats a lot of heals) on the R2 portion of my crossbar and support skills on the left, but I'm worried about being a healer because I worry about I'll mess up. Thoughts?
