FFXIV Endwalker Patch 6.2 MSQ Reaction And Thoughts – The Hype Is Back With 6.2

FFXIV Patch 6.2 has been one of the most enjoyable and exciting patches in so long. This has been one of my best experiences in the MSQ since Shadowbringers and I’m so excited with where they are taking the story in 6.3 and onwards.

I’d love to know your thoughts on the FFXIV 6.2 MSQ, Golbez, Scarmiglione and Barbariccia. I personally love the void, and how they have introduced Zero into the MSQ, but I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Thanks for watching everyone and I hope you’re enjoying this patch as much as I have been!

  1. I get why they don't make msq dungeons harder though, my whm main girlfriend was constantly dying to the new bosses as we did the msq together, and I was only able to carry us through because WAR's self healing is absolutely ridiculous in casual content. She was getting pretty frustrated at her own failures toward the end of things, and I can't imagine making content that's mandatory for the story much harder would be a good idea

  2. I think what could be fun is adding Hardmode to msq dungeons. You gotta clear either the dungeon or the patch to unlock it and it gives you the same dungeon but all the mechanics are much more punishing plus it locks your ilevel so you can’t out gear it. Because we can’t make the story mode dungeons harder for obvious reasons, I remember when Stormblood dropped and raid/dungeon quality went up, there were a lot of deaths and struggling and not everyone is into that.

  3. I went into Barbaricia's trial, heard song, heard her jp voice, saw her LITERALLY JOJOPOSING on you and i lost it – i love it.
Also about how you're losing it over Zero, i felt about Tall-shahn. They made him cute even as a big auri man C:

  4. Knowledge of FFIV makes all of this SOOO much more delicious. Part of the reason I love FFXIV so much is because I've been a fan of the franchise since FF1 on NES. Seeing all the callbacks throughout this game is just so damn satisfying.

  5. Normal dungeons are okay. I do understand we (me too) would like to have "bit more challenge" as we already did so many of dungeons/raids/stuff, and Criterion/Variant may be …. too challenging for some of us?, so just a "harder" mode would be nice to have (we are not sprouts anymore :D), same dungeon, few more mechanics/more often/faster, would be great to keep us on toes, when we would prefer to go that way 🙂

Many people will tell you straight it's a lot of references to FF IV, so 6.1 was big Hype for me, as I love that game, it's lore and story, characters etc. But for people who never played it, it's completely different experience. Like Alzadaal Dungeon was big reference to FF XI, pvp music comes from IX, and so on. 6.1 was chilling and building up so 6.2 could be jampacked with story in Void, and I loved that part. From the music, Zero's, atmosphere and so on.

  6. This may be where being an old school ff fan may have given me an advantage. In 6.1 I instantly knew that was Golbez and his four fiends. So, moving forward, I have some vague ideas about where they're going and a point of comparison. Scarmigliglione, Barbariccia, the drowned King Cagnazzo and Rubicante. Each one had personality and motives. Scarmiglione actually had to be battled twice, once when you're still a dark knight I think, and then as a fledgling Paladin. You met him on Mt. Ordeals.

  7. I’ve been wanting more void since the awesome Shadows of Mhach series. This patch was amazing, but I don’t feel like the next expansion will be in the 13th. I expect more that the void will gain influence over over Etheirys.

  8. Most of us share the same feeling, and the extraordinary building of the void is so great, made it suddenly blow up from a vague background to a very mysterical but solid world. And we are all waiting the passway unlock later, then we can revisit zero's domains. (Basically garentueed accroding to XIV;s policy). The story telling is just getting better and better.

  9. I love Zero! She's this awesome combination of Vampire Hunter D and a dark magical girl, to me.
My theory is she's the thirteenth Azem shard. She reacted to Hydaelyn's crystal and reverted back to human form.

  10. While I could complete it, there was A LOT of dying on my run. I felt the difficulty was enough for msq content. Golbez is a bit one-note to me, after getting such dynamic villains but open to see how it progresses. I really enjoyed exploring the void. They put a lot of care into the world. Lots of little Easter eggs.

  11. normally .2 and .4 is raider patch with new raid tier so you feel it big, also they alway release new relic weapon in .2 patch, .1 and .3 more emphasize on crafter and gather side, so if you dont do both of these, it might feel like dry for you, .5 is a warp up patch, they finish everything in this xpac and release new hype for next xpac

play FF14 for many year, i kind of like how they just have a hard roadmap and follow it from xpac to xpac, sometime they add something new, but most of time we have what we expect for, remember back then when i play other MMO, waiting for them to update new patch is pain in the ass, and most of time we had to wait years for new patch come out
