  2. Thank you for this video Meoni. It’s a shame about these restrictions but, there’s just too many people trying to take advantage of, well, anything they can. On the other hand maybe this will, somehow, encourage players to become more social. That’s a good thing. I guess… 😅

  3. Makes you wonder just HOW bad the RMT is at the moment that they had to do THIS. I personally don't mind it but I guess it sucks for people who wanted to get something for their friends who are not on the friend's list or do give aways.

  4. maybe a better solution to this would be to implement like a double verification system for purchases? like require several layers of human response and track what/where the gift codes are going? seems like a bungle on potential money to be made.

  5. Sound like an excuse to get even greedier, first emote arent account wide, now you cant gift mount guess the CEO are getting hard on their heels to make more profit from the only sucessful live service, hopeful they get alot of backlash and hate from these change, to revert back.

  6. Hmm….. I wonder how will those night club run raffle now? Maybe have one dedicated character to temporary friend whomever won and gift the winner? Although no more emote/mount raffle, I guess costume set will have to do, still a bit disappointing.

  7. just in time for Christmas, the gifting of gifts is no longer allowed!

yeah this…this is a mess. i hope they figure out a better way to implement this so that people can gift things properly again, cause i feel like this is actually going to cost them money in the long run. the things that aren't giftable are the things most often gifted!

what about wedding packages? that comes with a mount, does that mean someone can no longer purchase their partner's half of the wedding?

I have a feeling this version of the gifting service will be revamped a second time in the near future, because between the outcry it will generate, and the lost revenue, it just wont really be worth the hassle. their reasoning is completely fair but just like Meoni, I just dont think its gonna work. the devs aren't stupid, i'm sure they'll get this figured out a better way eventually. we just gotta be patient i think.

  8. kinda sad with these restrictions tbh, my husband and I were always gifting each other mounts and emotes. I hope they come up with a better solution in the future

  9. I suspect this won't last long. Once they realize they've started losing money because people can no longer buy gifts for friends, raffles or giveaways there will be some kind of roll-back.

  10. I think it might be an issue with the new system that conflict with how items are recognized since most of the items are account bound that are restricted. I think they will add the restricted items back once they figure it out.

  11. If the playerbase in general would quit engaging in RMT, they would go out of business and we wouldn't see the spam in-game and we wouldn't have stuff like this happening. The playerbase (collectively) has only itself to blame. If people would just follow the rules and play the game as it was meant to be played instead of screwing around with RMT, 3rd party software, etc… but no, we all have to pay when things get too bad, and that's the only fair way to do it.

  12. To be hones, as much as I'm against the idea of gil buying and selling gil, i'd much rather people RMT like this than the more nefarious ways they do and can continue to do unchecked, paying other entities directly…

At least the way now being stopped A. SQEX takes a cut towards the game. B. Much safer for said Buyer AND seller of gil.

Essentially now SQEX are fucking over people like me who often gift friends mounts etc, or run little community glamour/screenshot comps with cashshop prizes, whilst simultaneously now risking Gil buying characters banks to nefarious sources.

Gil isn't even important enough in the game to warrant all this effort at the expense of playerbase…. Sure the friendlist idea so they can catch RMT? FINE, sure. But the 1 character item stuff? NOPE

  13. Hopefully this is just a temporary solution while a more significant one is in the works. Definitely quite annoying, not to mention bound to hurt Squenix's pockets in the end so it's in their best interest to find a more permanent solution that doesn't also annoy normal players.
