  1. These clowns haven’t even fixed the visa problem yet, which is just wild to me that after a month and some change the most popular card in America still can’t be used. But sure, start charging sales tax

  2. ……. Mine already had sales tax though. I pay through my steam wallet though , and they include the sales tax, so I hope I don’t pay tax twice on the same thing. I am in Canada though, so maybe it’s really a US thing.

  3. Well, goodbye tax-free purchases. It was bound to happen. Better start piling up those level skips before they start costing $30 so I can finally get most of my jobs to Level 80. 🙁

  4. I'm not American but I live in North America.
Once again SE doesn't give good info for Canada. Not that I want to pay more. I believe this already happened to us a few years ago but when it did no post happened.

  5. Who gives a shit we have to pay sales tax on it now which isn't fair but we can't even fucking subscribe because the website doesn't accept our credit card because square enix doesn't give a shit

  6. Once again, corporate greed reigns supreme in the USA. Fun Fact: Most companies that charge tax actually don't pay nearly as much in their own taxes as we the consumer pay in taxes. In most cases, its just them getting an excuse to charge us more for a product while feigning innocence with a "out of my hands" gesture while secretly playing the "i'm in the money" music in the background.

  7. Square's payment system can be a trainwreck. Years ago, my recurring sub hit and the card on my account had expired and so failed to pay. This caused my account to be suspended. I talked to support and tried to provide new payment information, but Square refused it. They were more interested in punishing me for having overlooked updating my card's expiration date than in taking my money and restoring my ability to play.

  9. Quebec being the leech it is I'm not suprised but still really sad 😢 It seem so far ago since digital good weren't taxed and never really got why they started doing so too. I don't mind on physical stuff but on digital things and subcription it really got no place. And right now our governement is trying to pass a law to tax resident that have home garden too and this makes me boil.
