In a recent post, Square Enix warns all users about an ongoing hacking attempt on their database. Your email/passwords might be at risk! Make sure to change your password immediately if you use it on other websites as well as Final Fantasy 14 and follow the guidelines provided by Square Enix in order for your account to not be damaged.

  1. Don't setup pre-authorized payments on PayPal. Doesn't matter how secure PayPal itself is. If that shit is setup, and the website allows its use without secondary verification, they can just use it once they're in. ALSO, as I learned when I got big hacked, PayPal ignores support requests for fraud made through pre-authorized stores you have setup. Extra tips: Don't JUST use SMS for 2FA. If you can, remove SMS for 2FA. SMS is dogshit unencrypted 1997 tech that literally never got updated. I had SMS and an app setup for FB. They still got in by using a VPN and spoofing my number, because FB security is also dogshit. Lastly, get a password manager. When someone steals thousands from you, and you have to fight or pray a company refunds you to get it back, I think 25$ a year is worth it.

  2. 💀i lost my old fb account and the last timeni used it was like 9 years ago, i logged in and it automatically locked my account then told me to try and log back in using the old devices, bruh i dont have my old phones or old pc, and theres no live support desk to get help…
