  1. a significant part of preach's 14 community he brought from his previous one (wow), which is why his community is more healthier than the other streamers. they are there for mike's content. not only for 14's content

  2. Here I'm for most MMORPG players, it's hard to stick with FFXIV in the long run because after finished the Realm Reborn, the game starting to feel FFXIV losing more MMO elements mainly focus on RPG elements and the new world starting to look like a small linear progression zones which mostly look very underwhelming compared to Black srhoud Gridania, Udah, Limsa, Thanalan etc.

  3. To me i think Asmon likes the raids of ffxiv but the MSQ story dungeons and story raids are boring. Combat itself in ffxiv tbh is lack luster if you aren't doing the higher skilled content.

  4. I am a normal guy. I did not get a parade and I removed my sprout marker right away. You don't get babied when people think you have been playing a long time. I am all for the treatment others get if they stream. I just play to enjoy the battle content.

  5. 2faced, passive aggressive and the ccp style tos ever since SB released lets it flourish.
The harder they try to look wholesome and nice, the nastier they truly are in private chats. This includes discord and so on.

When someone says: "UwU we almost had it <3 <3" a veteran player knows what he truly means.
For example in Shinryu in 99% of cases it means: "If you pieces of shit don't kill this next attempt, I'll stop healing and rescue the other healer off the platform until we disband or you votekick me.
Tanks usually cleave the group etc and DPS forget everything outside of GCD including positionals (KEKW EW monks)

This is obviously not the majority since most people either say hi or nothing and act like (big shocker) normal human beings but as someone who played this game for about 10 years solo with some exceptions in hardcore content, I can say with 100% confidence that these people make about 15 – 20% or the community or they are just THAT obnoxious that it looks like it.

Some days I hope Elon Musk deletes Twitter, Discord ceases to function and only public chats work and we have to deal with that for 1 month so this game goes up in flames as these low mental flyers can no longer contain their real behaviour and fly so low, they hit every skyscraper that exists and cause more dmg than the 9/11 terrorists.
They then get banned and we will all remember this event as "FFXIV: A Tweet Reborn" or "Umbral Calamity 69"
On other days I hope this doesn't happen, because it just might chase away every sane person and people with the intellect of a JPG collector for money rule supreme as they get milked by big daddy dev. Weebs somehow like being milked, its just not their dicks…

PSA enjoying asian cartoons or acting up for fun in front of an audience doesn't make you a weeb, I saw V-Tubers that come across as enlightened monks compared to the dipshits I truly mean.
Being awkwardand dressing your lala up while shouting "Rasengan!" for example does. :)))

  6. I disagree. Asmon can’t cross a line when he never finished the story or done all the raids/extremes. Asmon had too many andies in his chat driving him nuts and sabotaging his enjoyment.

  7. At this point I’m not expecting Asmon to come back unless at least one of these things come true:

    A. Fan Fest/7.0 absolutely blows him away

    B. WoW just turns to absolute shit

    C. MMOs are going through content droughts (WoW, Lost Ark, New World, etc)

    D. He stops saving FFXIV for main channel content and starts streaming it on his alt channel

  8. Nah. This is cringe. Most creators quit this game because they themselves have bad attitudes or toxic personalities, and that shit will simply get you fried in ffxiv. Some game communities are simply less tolerant of bullshit than others. Almost all creators who quit this game due to "drama" did it to themselves. The End.

  9. I remember times when people would do videos purely to show skill and passion for games and just enjoyed being recognized by it. Now it's all about money first and it's hard to find something otherwise.

  10. The problem with this view is that Arthars is only thinking from the mindset of an EX and Savage content creator, easily the most boring kind of content unless it is day 1 or the last 2 mins of a clear. If anyone has watched Asmon enough they should know, he didn’t quit because of his community he quit because FF just isn’t his kind of game.

  11. I my honest opinion, I think content creator leave FF14 because they just did not invest in 14 that much, that's all. Either in story, battle, raid, song, or anything relate to 14. Which is fine, you dont like the game you leave, you like it you stick with it.

  12. Except imo Asmond didn't quit playing XIV mostly because of the community, the guy just didn't care enough about the story to keep playing, the guy just wanted to raid. Although I'm sure some players did backseat him a bit, I don't think that was the majority of the viewers. Most people were just happy watching him seemingly enjoy the story, but at the end of the day he was overhyping his reactions for views, just like he does with all his other content.

  13. As someone who played XI for years moving to xiv was a huge disappointment, crap music crap empty world and instances for everything. I had 2 or 3 capped jobs capped crp and gathering in 6 weeks. I felt like a postal worker in the msq and updates of 2 new dungeons for tombs was stale fast I left at 1.6. Nothing has changed.

  14. This is why I quit. Everyone was intrusively "helpful", wouldn't let me do things on my own, and then got angry if there was something about the game I didn't like. I bought a MSQ skip because I got bored of unlocking features (back when everything was locked behind a long MSQ quest), and got harassed so much I just said F it.

  15. It’s such a shame that things are like that. I played the game daily for like 2 years straight went all the way to clearing ultimates but it’s just too much of a hustle and I lost my fun in this game a long time ago so I decided to quit.
