Hello all,
Edit: I now realise that the market boards are universal, it’s simply the tax rate from where you actually buy it which is different. That was a bit of ignorance on my part, and apologises for the mis-information
After giving FF14 a solid go i’ve noticed a few things which I’d love seen improved or added in from my time in WoW. Let me know if you can think of anymore or if I may be wrong in my reasonings
Thanks for watching all

The state of WoW is one of decay, but it has a lot of quality of life features FFXIV sorely needs. FFXIV has amazing fashion selection, but the glamor system is needlessly complicated and extremely limited in storage space, while in WoW you can collect literally every appearance in the game on every character.
for the MB stuff..
you really should put that on the forums, since the devs do have a habit of looking at the complaints there.
For the number things.. I dont think FF should necessarily do that, since it makes you have the need to get a higher chance, the way it is now you do see progress but you wont feel the need to get anything.
for mounts n minions there could be a seperate list? Since the mount/minion guide is where we just call them it would be inconvenient to have a list of every ingame one there.
1) it would be nice to have a mount list, the only reason the orchestra list exists is due to it being new. It's just a low priority and there's a fan website that actually tracks your progress.
2) another relic of ps3 Era and limits on the engine. This is aliviated a tad with link shells.
3) will never happen, it's pretty much to stop/halt harassment of players and Stat checks. However it's a bit speculated that your crit rate starts at a 20% base and maxes out at 45%. The same goes with Direct Hit and Determination. Meaning from pure stats you will never hit 50% and because SE will never have 'perfect' gear you'll never get to those caps.
With Endwalker the stats will change. However as it stands 1 weapon damage = 10 point main stat = 100 point secondary stat ( det, crit, and direct hit). Just for example. This is why SE places ilvl requirements. As you progress through the game. Your gear from 1-50 won't matter until you get Ironworks gear that is rated at ilvl130. If you do coils (the ARR raids) the final turns drop ilvl130 that is depending on your class will have serial BiS pieces that will hold you over until the level 55 dungeon. It's typically like that every expansion. In essence your gear progression does not matter until you hit level 80. Since you'll be constantly upgrading gear as you go. I've had tanks and healers not keep up with gearing or staying with low level pieces because of better substats.
Mount speed is pretty much ignored once you unlock flying, since flying is faster or as fast as 2 star. There's also the bike from FF7 that was originally part of a special cross-over event, but now is purchasable on the Mog Station, that is as fast as one star on any map by default. Officially third party add-ons are against the game's ToS, but SE is pretty lenient on it so long as you don't harass or shame other players. Most likely SE will never add official support because of the game being cross-play on PlayStation and PC.
The Mount/Minion Collection idea was asked about in the recent Media tour and was answered by the Director. That there are limited time items and cash shop items that would be included and they basically don't want to keep reminding and adding unneeded stress on some players for not having a complete collection.
chat bubbles…. FFXIV fans will defend this… it's stupid not to have in an mmo.. DL addon for it.. so much more natural knowing who the F said what in a crowd without archaic targetting system crap
Market board is game-regon agnostic, the only thing the regions effect is tax-rate. say, if i've listed an item in the uldah markets, you buy it from limsa, theres (pulling the number out of my ass) a 10% tax where as if you was to buy it from uldah the tax would be lower
TAB TARGETING IS BETTER IN WORLD OF WARCRAFT-CHANGE MY MIND
Copium
Collecting transmogs is a way better system than the glamour dresser/armoire system imho.
The additional gold rewards in place of xp began as a patch in vanilla but developed into a welcome reward later on.
Until WoD though gold in WoW was king, and that is not so in FF14 so gil is in high supply and is less relevant so maybe it doesnt matter. But I always appreciated the conversion.
Copium is stronk in this video, topkek
I found a website that showed the rating = % ratio. So far out of all of them crit scales the best, because it increases both crit chance & crit damage. So most specs bis stats is crit which is funny XD
Is the MB one a misunderstanding? Because you can buy it from anywhere regardless of where your retainer is selling it from, that's why you see multiple flags in the item list. It only affects your buy tax (sell tax is always 10%).
I play FFXIV from 2017 (since the dawn of time where people are anti ween game), but I personally want this game to have
1) Bubble chat. Just like optional party skill effects, make it optional(Yes I'm aware we can use quicklauncher mod. I want the official one).
2) Buying subscription using ingame money. I never played wow and I think this is probably a bit touchy subject for most FFXIV fans but I know I want it even if it isn't happening ever.
