  1. I don't think they owe us, but it would be nice to have a replacement. One of my main ways of playing is leveling alt-jobs, and it's rewarding to get that chunk of XP. I feel like I'm making real progress in running them.

  2. To me, MSQ roulette served a singular purpose – baiting people who think it is "efficient" and "worth their time" to help ppl get the pops on those duties. I never liked the idea of doing a duty that is "efficient" because it essentially lets you play FFXIV without actually playing FFXIV. To me that is a waste of my time.

If I want Poetics, I farm Lv60 Aetherochemical Research Facility, gamble for newbies in Normal Raid Rouelette or do Bozja.
If I want EXP, depends on the levelling section.
If I want Moogle tomes, I rather go to Frontlines or Aurum Vale farm.

Personally? No they don't owe us one bit. But if they want to adjust EXP on roulettes, 50/60/70/80 can have a bit higher EXP as you guys said or fix Alliance Raid Roulette.

I am sick of the EXP gain for Nier raids vs Crystal Tower raids basically the same and people manipulating their item level to ensure they join Crystal Tower and drag up to 23 other people into it. It also goes against the very concept of Roulette's purpose – to get people to join content that needs players.

  3. I would say no. The reason why the MSQ roulette was there was to encourage people to run those 8 man dungeons. Now that they're solo duties, there's no reason to have it.

  4. I don't think they owe anything but it would definitely be nice. It would slow leveling across the board since so many people run it once a day and if you're lucky enough to get Praetorium, it's nearly an entire level. Only the daily PVP comes close and a lot of people have no interest in that.

  5. MSQ roulette has been garbage ever since unskippable CS and I haven't run it since they implemented that change a few years ago. SE doesn't owe anything for getting rid of crap worthless content. This topic in general was a waste of time to make a video about, just like queuing for MSQ roulette.

  6. I will definitely miss MSQ roulette. It's the main place I socialize with other players outside of my FC. As for the 'people want Exp for not doing anything' complaints, that's not entirely fair. The game is actively encouraging players to level jobs they dont necessarily want to play. A ton of story and lore are locked behind the job/role quests. What should have been the ShB msq mount became the 'here's a mount for leveling EVERY job.' So right now we have options: Pay for a skip, or level them through easy content via MSQ roulette. I'm never going to pay for a skip. So with MSQ roulette being nerfed, all those jobs that I dislike and am bad at playing, you are going to see me taking them into leveling roulette and being terrible at it. So look forward to that. 🙃

  7. They don't owe us a replacement but they should make the 50/60/70/80 have a bigger hit to it. Something else that I would like to see for us weekend gamers is take the daily roulettes and make em 7 times a week, that way if you can't do your roulettes you can still get all your xp each week for leveling 😀

  8. I frequently use Praetorium to farm poetics and moogle tomes, but the MSQ roulette dungeons have been in dire need of an update for many years. I will not be sad to see the current form go away.

  9. as others said, I dont think they owe us anything. but yes, the poetics could be a problem. and I agree, 50/60/70 is weirdly out of place for a roulette. they should boost it some.

  10. 10:10 Agreed wholeheartedly. Every time people complain in party chat about the unskippable cutscenes, I remind them that players like them are the reason why that update happened.

When I originally played through that content I didn't get to experience it at all. Westwind was over before the opening cutscene was finished, and I was similarly left behind in both of the other two. I never saw any of those fights until after I went back to replay them later.

This was long before players from other MMOs swapped over in droves, so there's no community to blame but our own. And blame them I did, and still do. I understand time efficiency and that people have other things they want to do, but we shouldn't do that at the cost of pushing people to speedrun everything and be toxic pricks to those that don't want to.

  11. Nope. They don't "owe" us anything. We get plenty of the rewards elsewhere. Even if we never had the large msq bonuses that wouldn't change me getting to 90 on everything, gearing up all classes, and still having tons of fun. There's plenty of variety and options in the game that I actually haven't done MSQ roulette in years unless the spouse wanted to do it together. Pretty much any other route to level or gather tomes is more fun to me than doing MSQ Roulette and going brain dead for an hour.

  12. They should add the exp that was for msq roulette, and add it to the lv 50/60/70/80 roulette. We wouldn’t lose anything, and would make that playlist more valuable.

  13. They don't owe a replacement. We aren't entitled to a certain amount of experience per day. Unfortunately, gamers do this thing where they will prioritize doing something they don't enjoy over something they do enjoy for the sake of optimization. Nothing should be designed so poorly that the only way to get people to do it is to shower them with rewards. If you release content that people do regardless of the reward, then it's good content.

  14. All I want is for leveling roulette to give comparable xp as spamming the highest level dungeon (after the first of day bonus). Spamming the same dungeon over and over sucks for leveling through dungeons. Being able to get any dungeon and get good xp out of it would be fantastic. Hell, throw the 50/60/70/80 dungeons in there too. There's absolutely no reason those dungeons should be bad xp.

  15. If MSQ Roulette is removed or just no longer works as it currently does, then I would hope that SE finds a suitable replacement for that system. Years of people being able to get a good amount of exp/poetics can't just be wiped out in my opinion. I think the best solution would be to boost the exp/poetics given by the other Roulettes. That way, people still get the exp/poetics they are after and it makes people do other Roulettes instead of just one.

  16. My issue with the capstone roulette is that the dungeons don’t give exp, and the rewards are meh at best. If the 80 dungeons have as much eco as Mt Gulg, then they would be run much more.

I was one of the people that hoped that the bonus exp and rewards from MSQ roulette was going to be moved to the capstone roulette, and to put Castrum and Praetorium into that roulette. Let’s say 200 poetics and half a level of exp.

  17. I've boosted all Jobs I don't play to 80 and I need another 18 days to get the last one leveled to 90. … Hope I can push through so I can do this before MSQ Roulette gets nerfed.

  18. I agree with everything said here truely we were jerks in the msq. Just as a thing to poetics you get them for just about everything you do in the game it can be argued there is a abundance of ways they are obtained beast tribe and the hunt alone can cap you quickly

  19. I'm fine with MSQ roulette going away even though it is nice for the tomes both moogle and just top tome to cap.

The big one I would like to see fixed is the Level 50/60/70/80 roulette. The rewards suck for doing it so no one does which means long queues if you do want to run it. But also can we please rename that thing to like Patch roulette or something.

  20. Honestly I feel there is TOO MUCH free XP in this game. All the daily roulettes, PVP, Wonderous tales, beast tribes, challenge log, Leve quests etc. I don't even run MSQ roulette because I just don't need to I get so much XP anyway. Will be glad to be rid of MSQ roulette. It's long, boring, tedious and I never felt the rewards were worth between 30 – 50 mins of my life anyway.

  21. I don't think this will matter in the long term of the game. However, I've always thought that we should have leveling dungeons spread out into more level brackets. We should have a roulette for 15-50, 51-70, 71-89. I don't even care so much for the reward aspect, I would just really love to get more of the older dungeons, which are amazing, more often with SOME rewards involved. I love how they keep all content relevant, but sooner or later, the shear amount will start drowning each other out. I don't want to lose these experiences.
