Hey guys itâs Cole and welcome to my summary of the letter from the producer live part 79 hosted as a part of the Tokyo Game Show 2023⊠so if youâre wondering why itâs on a Saturday evening well thatâs why.
Patch 6.5 is named Growing Light and this being the capstone patch of the Endwalker expansion is divided into two separate parts, the first part will be launched on October 3rd so in a little over a week from now! And then the second part will be launched in January. This coincides with the fanfest dates for EU Fanfest in October and then Japanese Fanfest in January.

I was scared of the Astrologian rework, I wasnt sure if I'd hate it more than I kinda do bow due to the general pessimism a lot of us Astrologians have(especially the veteran players), but Im starting to feel a mix of that pessimism and slight hope. Atp, Im just ready to test the changes out
Solar Bahamut is probably the union of both Phoenix and Bahamut. Since the lore has locked us out of other primals. It makes sense that the WoL would use what he has available to make something new.
Basically manifesting himself a new primal based on the power his has access to.
The personal heal….Breaking Wind.

I feel like i like all the changes that don't involve the removal of Spells abilities or weaponskills.
I don't want to hear about Button bloat ever again, it's not real. especially when every expansion just adds 1 button for every 2 they erase. Just let the playerbase make mistakes and be inefficient in their rotations. Then Those who want vatiation will have it, and those who don't will just check out online guides anyway!
Taking Bio and Miasma away from SMN did not make it more fun to play, and bio being exclusive to SCH didn't make it feel more unique
At 2:52 concerning button changes that people wanted and âisnât there mod for thatâ does not apply to consoles
I am so damn happy about wheeling thrust and fang and claw being consolidated. It was far too annoying to use those 2 abilities. that literally removes 2 inputs from the standard combo
The action skill change is NOT affecting your 1, 2, 3 skill combos.
It affects the skills/Spells that turn into other skills/spells during certain conditions.

I really hope the classes just dont feel easier like they've dumbed down the classes enough, I enjoy thinking while playing my class rather than not xD which they've already basically done removed the thinking portion.
Correction on the Fantasia thing: It's not that you have 60 minutes to revert back, its that you have 60 minutes to go back and make further changes. This is also unlimited, you can go back and make even more changes over and over until that 60 minutes is up. Also, since it's in-game time, being logged out/actually in the character creator does not reduce that timer.
Solar Bahamut is certainly a mystery for many of us. I do have some thoughts and theories as to what is is, how it came to be, and what the intent is. So, like many Summoner mains, I was expecting a new Elder Primal Summon, like Alexander, or Odin. Instead, we get a variant of Bahamut, know as Solar Bahamut.
This would not be the first time that Bahamut has had several forms. Things like Neo Bahamut / Zero from FF7 are certainly one example. I believe this is one such variant, using a precedent set in XIV, with that of Lunar Bahamut, its clear dark counterpart. Lunar Bahamut was born from Meracydians Dragons, tortured under the influence of the Telophoroi and their towers, twisting it into a dark aspected version of the original. I believe that Solar Bahamut is a direct response by us (WoL), by re-envisioning it, fuelled by the aspect of light. I believe this is the first instance of Summoner âcreatingâ their own Summon, using existing Primal Aether within them. This is also I believe, a show of out mastery as a Summoner, by displaying our control over the aether from Primals we have required from across the expansions.
I Also believe that Hydaelyn to be an influence on the appearance of Solar Bahamut. By looking at the attack animations, one of them was using the sigil for âThe Blessing of Lightâ, given to us by Hydaelyn herself, and being tied to the 6 primary elements, as represented by the crystals that occupy the rings within the sigil, whenever the sigil appears in cutscenes. Also, by looking at Solar Bahamutâs design, we see 7 swords making up each wing, making 14 swords in total. 14 swords, 14 shards, not a mere coincidence I believe. I also think it is a nice reflection of everything we have experience from the end of the Shadowbringers Patches, to the end of Endwalker, a lasting reminder of our experiences, represented in a symbolic Primal of our own design.
Of course, I have no idea of this be accurate or not. But these are some things Iâve observed, and while I am disappointed I did not get what I expected to get, I am happy all the same with this new addition, and look forward to summoning Solar Bahamut on my journey in The New World.
"Some big ability named End of Heart" They said the English title is Lion Heart. This is Squall's big Limit Break from FF8, it looks like it'll be usable after using Bloodfest (the instant 3 cartridges ability) but cost no cartridges itself.
I think the seraphim spell could have just been an upgraded version of Dissipation instead forcing a new spell, especially when the dissipation is like you eating the fairy and taking its power and boosting your healing too. I rather not change into an angel, what if I like my glam? why not just make glowing fairy wings like temperance but fairy themed but keeping my glam? Also I am pretty sure those wings looks identical to the archangel gold wings fashion accessory from the Gold Saucer and outfit looks like the healer set from Aglaia AR from endwalkerđ âŠ
Maybe during the seraphim transformation, succor and Adlo could be instant cast, which would be helpful and can compete with sageâs mobility with Eukraisia prognosis.
Finally, that PvP Action Change Setting is in PVE, took them long enough, it saves so much space on the bar, and gives more options going forward for more skills. The complete gutting of RNG from Astrologian, is on point with Yoshi Ps continued crusade in homogenization of all classes. Absolutely terrible idea, which will lead to the eventual death of this game. Classes/battle play is one of the main pillars of how players interact with this game, by destroying that via simplification/homogenization, you have in essence, ripped out a giant part of the body, which means the bloodloss will take over in due time.
The red mage change.. I'm on the fence about idk if its good or bad im trying to get my brain to go there in my rotation. And if we have combo actions I wont have the pleasure switching between verflare and verholy. I'm idk.
they dont add things anymore. every tank got the same thing, they took away so much and added so little. i dont understand the direction the game is going in
Yeah summoner looks like they barely did anything with it. On top of that the animations look weak. Super big bummer. AST also looks like it got shafted, and idk things like NIN abilities becoming traits is just more homogenization. I could go on but you get it rip.
I also have a sneaking suspicion we will see Harrowing Hell phases more often.
