Chaotic Alliance Raids, the new midcore content coming to Final Fantasy 14 just got announced and Xeno is mostly happy with it. We finally have 24 man savage raids in FFXIV that reward gear and can be farmed. We did it!

  1. The real reason, they are spreading out the content through out the patch so we don't have such a massive lull of "nothing". I agree it could easily come out a week after 7.1, but then we would have nothing on 7.15. In an ideal world we would get something like a Criterion or something then, or god forbid the start of our relics.

  2. Finally puts in content that not only has 730 ilvl, but also puts it in with no weekly limit and baldo still finds a way to complain about it. Classic. Nothing can make this man happy. Please god give him his hair back. Surely that will cure him of all his anger.

  3. For the 12 man, my understanding is that you can enter with less people to for prog + in the future it will likely be clear able with less people. But for now you’ll likely need close to max people to clear.

  4. SE takes its playerbase for granted. Yoshi P wanna sit there and whine about players saying the VA is ass and the story is lack luster but they're fine with giving us les and les while we keep the company and their litany of trash games afloat.

  5. So uh, i keep seeing people talking about how devs are releasing this so late but i think everyone forgot – the devs gotta have their holidays too. They always always take their holidays late december and they come back like mid january. They gotta leave shit for us to do during the holidays. The release timing fucking sucks, yes, but i do understand why they made it that way.

  6. they shoulda made it ilvl 740 gear- (745) weapon good savage level difficulty and basically the bis you would need to clear FRU & meet the dps check and release them both at the same time that would have kept ultimate savage and casual players busy for WEEKS

  7. 12 players is likely there for future proofing, so that when the alliance gets power crept instead of players having to find 23 other players in say next expansion, they just have to find 11 other players and can just eaisly skip mechanics due to power creep.

  8. It's funny how we kinda got teased on the idea of savage 24 mans as early as heavensward when they showed cut mechanics for Ozma and it took this long for them to finally give us "Chaotic Alliance"

  9. The new gear in the chaotic raid looks absolutely insane. One big reason I'll be running it day one and farming for months. No gear limit and it's IL730. So those who don't want to do savage normally. This is their only way to get BiS but at least they have a way to do so. Still gonna be a tough fight I bet.
