  1. tank: drk: the edge and i like how simple tbn makes tanking.
healer: whm: the sheer and raw amount of healing output whm does is why like playing it.
dps: rdm (my main) simplest dps (imo) and pretty much everything you said in your video hit the nail on the head.

  2. Tank:
    GNB/WAR

Loves GNB fast paced play style and it’s rotation is chefs kiss I even went as far as to try and collect all the gun blades in game. WAR is just fun in its simplicity honestly, that’s really it for me

    Healer:
    AST

Coming from stormblood AST, the original card system easily shot it into my favorites and even after changes I still love dearly, shield AST for life baby!

    Melee:
    NIN

This could easily go to all melee honestly, but NIN had my heart the moment I picked it up back heavensward and still does nearly 4 years later, even if I don’t work it optimally lmao

    Ranged magic:
    SMN

I used to hate it funnily brought but after really understanding it’s core loop, it has easily become my go to caster especially after the shadowbringers changes. The other 2 just don’t engage me enough

    Ranged physical:
    MCH

Once I heard it was even a job in game, i had to down buy the game and download it just play this 1 class. I even loved it during its clunky days and really love it after it had been smoothed out

For Caster I'd def go with RDM comfy, fun and has good DPS Melee probably SAM
Ranged def MCH. It's rotations are fun and does good dps.

  4. I haven’t played a lot of this game, but the jobs for each role I’m interested in leveling first are:
Paladin: I really like heroic characters who shield others and the PLD fills that roll with its healing and protective abilities. It’s the job I most want to main. I'm really excited to see the PLD get attention in the marketing for Endwalker.
Dragoon: I like the idea of doing jumping attacks. I also like that DRG can boost his allies' damage with Battle Litany and Nidhogg's Eye.
Bard: I love poetry and music, so bard characters in fantasy games really interest me. The BRD in FFXIV has some nice support songs in addition to his archery skills. I'm also really interested in the BRD's performance, especially now the electric guitar has been added.
Red Mage: RDM is really cool to me in the way that he can switch between ranged magic attacks and physical rapier attacks. I also really like the utility RDM provides with Verraise.
White Mage: WHM looks like a nice and straightforward job for learning the healing role. Stunning mobs with Holy looks really fun too. Leveling Conjurer will unlock a quest for acquiring a Unicorn mount, which is a nice bonus.
We’ll see if my opinions change once I’ve played all the jobs.

  5. After playing hw and stb mch, shb mch has to be the most flat and boring iteration. Also i miss having a similar trick attack and bishop for aoe. Just feels bad that they removed a lot of thinking

  6. Tank: DRK mainly because of TDN and the ogcd single target and aoe abilities. These abilities make it so easy to chain pull the whole instance without having to stop to toss out additional abilities.

Healer: I like both Scholar and Astro. But I'm so bad at healing so I shouldn't even try to play as one.

Melee: MNK. Fast rotation, positionals, being up front and scare the heck out of your healers while you maximize your dps. Even if you die, you are stupidly fast up again with your rotation.

Ranged: Don't really like any of them. I have a dancer at lvl 78 so I guess I'll go with that one.

Magic: Probably RDM. It plays somewhat similar to harbinger from Rift. Harb in Rift had a chance to proc an instant cast ability with each melee hit. RDM cast every other spell instant.

  7. Tank : Dark Knight. I just like it. TBN is a blessing tho.
Healer : Astrologian. I don't like healers that are just heal and do nothing (or in that case, do damage). Being a more support focused healer is more fun and the cards help me with that.
Melee : Samurai. I suck at the rotation but I like how straight forward it is.
Ranged : Machinist. Cause Gun is fun.
Casting : Red Mage. Rapier is one of my favorite type of weapons in any video games so that was my goal. The double casting is also super fun.

    So yeah.

  8. Tank: WAR, though feels pretty same-y compared to SB, so at this point I'm a tiny bit burned out on it.

    Healer: WHM

    Melee: SAM

    Caster: BLM

    Phys. Ranged: DNC

I… I really like when the game shows me a big number…

  9. Tank: warrior (the crits and simplicity is so satisfying for me)
Healer: Astro (It’s a very good burst healer and having more than just your damage spell to spam (cards) it’s satisfying)
Melee: ninja, it has a very good felt opener. It has a pretty good utility and has busy windows.
Ranged: this is tough, I say dancer because the big hits from technical and standard step are very satisfying but machinist has more busy mechanics. But I still pick dancer just because of the big hitters that makes it feel even better.
Caster: summoner, very mobile, very active, and has pets.

All the jobs I enjoy: Warrior, Dark knight, White mage, Astrologian, scholar, monk, samurai, ninja, machinist, dancer, red mage, black mage, summoner.
