If you love FFXIV, watch this video!

5 Reasons Why FFXIV Is AMAZING! Today I go through my personal Top 5 things that brought me into the game, and more importantly KEPT me playing FFXIV. Yes, I’ve taken breaks from Final Fantasy, but they’re always temporary breaks. Now that I’m making FFXIV content, I’m excited to delve even deeper into the game!

FFXIV is a game that is loved by many. A big contender for World of Warcraft, but my personal favorite MMO ever. Final Fantasy 14’s story is absolutely incredible, and the gameplay itself in my opinion is top notch for an MMO. If you are new to the game and are considering getting it, I would heavily suggest you do so! This video can even help you choose what race to play!

  1. 1-Ease of access: debatable on how hard SE makes it for new people to give them your money. On the How to play aspect, I wish there was a higher lvl version of the Hall of Novice cause I`ve seen soo many people fail mechaniks like a follow-aoe and murdered me. This would help people getting into even stuff like EX-trials which I know a bunch of people who are too afraid to do.

2-Story: Especially considering the restrictions they had to work with what makes ARR for me really good in terms of story is all the sidestorystuff that you can find if you keep your eyes open like what alone happened in Sastasha or the story of Edda Blackheart or the origins of Palace of the Dead etc.

    3-Class Swapping: it`s great

4-RP: I don`t and I think it`s stupid how worked up people get over rp. It`s fictional roleplay in a fictional game, so two layers of fiction. Some of the worst people I met in this game came from the rp-community, not all of them but the majority. If someone has fun doing that, that`s cool for them

In regards to costumization: as a viera-player and former Hroth-Moogle I feel your pain mate. The devs in that regard are just plain fucking lazy.

"Do I think there could be improvements?" Hats you lazy fucks we want fucking hats. We don`t want you to go back and redesign all the old gear but at least give us the new stuff that came out AFTER Hroth and Viera where put into the game.

5 Housing: I still don`t understand why we don`t have instanced housing like in FF XI.

On which DC are you? I`ll just gonna give you the money for a house if I can.

  2. ARR story was a huge reason why so many of my friends dropped the game, especially the titan quest line 💀. But the ones who stuck it out are obsessed now.

  3. One overlooked thing of the new player experience: Novice Network. I have never seen a game with a chat channel for the community let alone one focused on new players. Now that I have two crafting mentorships in two worlds, I send an invite to anyone I see level five or less who isn't in a guild. Being able to ask others for help or a community without forcing them into a free company eases social awkwardness.

  4. The problem for me to invite my friends over all of this valid reason as best MMO is the subscription TwT
I always say it's worth every penny, but still it's a hard sell because $15 is considered pretty expensive in my country, while they prefer that grindy F2P MMO which forces you to log in everyday.

  6. Used to be a rper in WoW, FFXIV blows it out of the water you used to just find a random house or abandoned camp in the woods for some decent rp spots but FFXIV? The first time I went to a rp spot someone made their house a tavern it was so wonderful, I completely agree with you after FFXIV there really is no going back for me

  7. I really like this game because you can do anything !
Casual playing, HL challenges, PvP, glams and housing, gathering and crafting, roleplaying, collecting mounts, minions, musics or gears, making relics weapons, farming contents, even chilling on an isolated island, or losing yourself in Gold Saucer's minigames ! And you can do any of this, and EVERY of this !

  8. after playing ffxiv for 6 years I can fully agree with all of these points. I have been playing mmos for most of my life, as a frame of reference, and each one i played it was for a very long period of time… but never 6 years. Before ffxiv i played GW2, and that was fun until it just kinda got boring to play in? Then i moved to ffxiv and never looked back.

I will 100% agree on the WoW stuff though. I did have a short stint of playing wow before i played ffxiv, and it was so hard trying to get into WoW when i had nothing to go off of. Going from GW2, another mmo with heavy story elements, to then WoW was so jarring lol. FFxiv really hit all of the marks i wanted in an mmo

  9. Ffxiv is one my cozy games. I log in and I just feel… At home. I don't know how else to describe it really. I can do whatever I want in game (within reason ofc) and it's just… Comfy. I also play on controller, so unless I'm rping and needing the keyboard, I can just sick back and chill

  10. I think the main reason I stayed for this game was the community. I remember the very first person I met was this tiny imposing lala that invitied me to their FC and guided me through so much content. It was an experience i'll never forget and one I honestly wish I could share with as many people as possible. This community is by far one of if not THE best community in any mmo ive seen. Hell even in any game ive played. Its truly is a marvel to see everyone just co-operate in anything this game has to offer, from glam events and mini bard offs to ultimates and savage raids. I love it all. Keep up the amazing content my man!!!

  11. My condolences on trying WoW 4 years ago. That was around the start of BFA. The second-worst expansion. Soon to be followed by the worst. I first started playing in the Burning Crusade expansion. When the game was good. But Shadowlands was so bad I quit.

  13. One of the reasons why I enjoy being able to change jobs is… You can run older content you've done a million times but do it from a different job you might not be great at. So even if it's the same content you've got different things to do.

  14. FC apartments are nice because they're discounted. But as you discovered you lose them if the FC gets disbanded. I had 2 FC's that kicked everybody out and changed the name. (Sold the FC house?) 🤷 Best just to pay a bit more for the personal apartment.
