AnnieFuchsia On FFXIV BANNING Asmongold Stream Snipers

In this video, Annie is discussing the recent matter that been going on regarding Final Fantasy XIV Online game masters BANNING stream snipers from the game. A Reddit post was made on the Asmongold subreddit, showcasing how one player got suspended temporary after harassing Asmongold during his stream, with a big mount, preventing Asmongold from interacting with NPCs in the game.

AnnieFuchsia mainly streams World of Warcraft & Final Fantasy XIV Online, collects more mounts than Asmongold, and often finds herself doing variety with Crewfu (Hafu, 5up, Dakotaz, Stevesuptic, xChocobars, and more!)

  1. These people will not learn, they will continue gatekeeping players out that they deem "undesirable to the community" They chased me out because of wrong think and I didn't bend the knee to there idiology

  2. SE doesn't generally perma ban on the first offense, the 2nd or 3rd though, all bets are off. People know good and well SE doesn't play and will slap in a heartbeat but sometimes you have to put a head on the pike as an example and a reminder.

  3. It's quite heartbreaking hearing your story about what happened to you in WoW. Things like that shouldn't be happened and everyone, including streamers have rights to have fun in their game. Sure it's part of the rules and how things works in pvp but things those guys did, is right up wrong. You aren't being funny, you're ruining someone who's ruining their game experience
I'm glad that Square Enix did take action banning those stream snipers for Asmongold, it is harassment and EVERYONE has the right to enjoy the game.

  4. I feel for you streamers…I get annoyed as hell when a level 120 thinks its cool to hang out in low level areas just to gank those 90 levels lower and just wants to level up and maybe test their skills on those of or around the same level….Thus my heart goes out to those streamers who deal with this shit….I make it a habit not to bother anyone lower then me (Unless they start it and have a chance to kill me…Then I wont give them the satisfaction.)

  5. The whale guy is very likely going to get permabanned. Normal suspensions do not last nine days. They only last one to three days.

But FFXIV has a three strikes and you're out policy, and they are permanent. So Whale Guy had to have done something like this in the past. But he's not alone. Just about everyone who griefed Asmon that day has either been dealt with or will soon be.

And the kicker is, there's no special treatment involved. It's just the system at work. If you had anyone doing that stuff to you in FFXIV, they too would be dealt with sooner rather than later.

I hope you have a much better experience here.

  6. just to emphasize that this wasn't a girl thing, i stream sometimes for fun, nothing serious at all. and anytime i would stream classic WoW i got stream sniped. why? nobody watching, i just put it on and played and maybe 2 people would be watching, 5 at most. but they would stream snipe me for hours.

  7. it also was based on the tweet from a FF14 player saying they were trying to get Asmon banned from 14 bc they didn't want him there. they followed him and tryed to report him at every move… literally just moving. HeelsvsBabyface did a great vid on it as well. I've heard they have a rule of not false flagging and if you are false flagging someone you get the ban.

  8. Hang on, hang on, hang on… so this post was from "Whale guy"? Doesn't the screenshot show that the game wasn't even purchased. At :49 at the bottom of the Manage Service Options, you can see that he has the option to buy ARR, etc. So this guy went out and bought the whale mount before he even bought the game, just so he could take up more of the screen.

  9. Loot and scoot was the rule on EQ's pvp servers. Guilds on servers like Talon Zek would hold up other guilds raids. It was great. In that game, if you died, you respawned naked and had to run back to your corpse to loot your gear again. Hence the phrase, loot & scoot.

  10. The thing is FFXIV can ban you whenever they want because in the ToS they don't have to defend themselves. If this guy is fucking around and griefing people, they can perma and delete his account if they want to.

  11. Dude creates a toxic community (it's all an act) tells people to /spit on anyone with a store mount/pets, his community obliges in his CALL TO ARMS(harassment), then when he gets shit on in pvp etc in WOW Classic or FF "It's harassment" lol "We run this server" how did that turn out? It's funny how you content creators get amnesia when you are endorsing and promoting harassment, bunch of hypocrites. And no I don't play FF, no one should be getting harassed in a video game in anyway, but to sit there and act like Asmongold is some innocent bystander with how he molded his community is just ridiculous

  12. What is nice is that in the most recent streams, it has obviously taken effect and has made his streams even more enjoyable because the regular FFXIV community – the goofy, overjoyed, overhyped when you succeed community, are all about it. The ones wanting to be jerks have learned to keep it nice and just wait, and the rest that are just excited to watch a new person or even one of their favorite streamers go on the journey are already just there waiting for when he comes out to share in the new mount ride, or congrats or whatever.
I'm not a streamer, but I remember all the times we went through and then everyone decided to keep going until everyone got their own whistle. Then decided to help others that had been waiting around, then the skies were filled with like 10 or 20 mounts and we all went and ended up spending the afternoon together helping each other blow through content that had been hanging out there or something.
It's just great. And it's great that Square Enix is showing how it can be great for everyone – even streamers.

  13. you were on a pvp server so i mean that is part of the game. But the stream sniping should have been an issue with them that is just targeted harassments. How sad does your day have to be that you follow around streamers trying to ruin their fun?
