  1. I think they can't go for 10 more years with this spaghetti code. The ending of this arc sets an opportunity for SE to develop a next gen mmo with the story going on.
They did it successfully with FF X|V A Realm Reborn. Imagine the possibilities and improvements with 2020's technology…

Yoshi-P plz I need 8k VR date sim with Y'shtola

  2. Hmm, my friend. I wonder. We all might be really off the mark thinking about "THAT far". We need remember that here's a guy (YoshiP) that was willing to obliterate an entire game and start over. Yeah, could be anything from simply killing off a main character or two (which imo isn't going THAT far… Harry Potter killed off Dumbledore and Snape so that's a been there done that) to bringing about The Rejoining and ushering in an entirely new game engine — as they are clearly looking to the future and the tech behind the game will either help or hinder them).

  3. I predict: the world does end, with the world being one again, but everyone died but you. Next chapter of the story will have you explore a new world slowly being reborn from ash.

  4. I think the most amazing thing is that Yoshi-p and his business division's history and track record is so good that we completely trust and believe that they're already prepared for what they're going to be doing for the next entire decade.

It really says a lot when the team can say this, and we see no reason to not believe them.

  5. Hearing "you'll go THAT far?" Makes me think the rejoining, or at least the final days will be successful this time. I actually kind of want there to be a 'bad ending' for endwalker. Like Hydaelyn actually does fall and we need to move planets or something

  6. 7.0 seems destined to head to Meracydia.

    …..
    Spoiler:
    ….
The put Meracydia as being prominently visible from the moon, the first time it’s been fully shown, it’s the continent that looks like Australia.

  7. It says a lot and in their team confidence that they are already working on laying all the ground work for the next 10 years of the game in a new chapter on the eve of Endwalker's launch. That's just great stuff.

    Congrats on 50K!

  8. For a post-Hydaelyn/Zodiark arc, I definitely am calling the Dragonstar + Omega's Builders as the big focal point. Possibly also "wherever the hell Ultima came from"

  9. One thing that's not talked about a lot is the fact that the more expansions a MMO have, the harder it becomes for new players to come in. No matter how good the game gets, if you tell people they'll have to play 300+ hours to catch up to current content, who really will think "Ok I've got the time"

  10. Thank you for skipping spoilers about the content you've already played – I'm just at the end of HW, so I've been having to avoid some streams until I get to the early content. But – I really appreciate your content and hate to skip it

  11. I'm forever thankful that I was along for this wild ride that is FFXIV. I'm so damn excited for what is to come. Listening to everyone theorycraft is easily one of my favorite things to do as a new expansion closes in. LONG LIVE YOSHI-P!

  12. There's an incredible amount of content they can still go through to explore, especially because of how they set up this world, and I cannot WAIT to see where they go after Endwalker. It's fascinating to feel hyped for whatever comes after an expansion that hasn't released yet.

  13. Well there is also the New World Continent where the Whalaqee are and Meracydia that we haven't been to yet, so maybe after Endwalker there flesh out those lands. I for one would like to see what the Allagans left behind on the continent of Meracydia and what remains of the beast tribes of the Warring Triad. The New World Continent would be interesting because of the tie-in with Blue Magic. I would like to see a Veldt-like area and maybe a Gau-like job (which would probably also be limited like the Blue Mage).

  14. Speaking of tech stuff: I'd love if they could get rid of the two "zones" in Limsa, Gridania, Ul'dah and Ishgard and just make it one. I get why they originally had to do what they did, but Kugane and the new cities in EW are massive, so clearly it's not needed anymore. I even imagine Gridania woould be quite easy as the city has no height traversal so it's literally would be slamming them together, the others would be a bit more difficult but I think it'd really help with the immersion.

  15. i REALLY think it'll have something to do with whether or not we are under the CONTROL (tempered) of hydaealyn/zodiark. they are, in fact, primals. what is the world like when we are free from that control?

  16. As much as I love this game, I'm calling this bullshit, fake hype by Yoshi-P. Although the writing is good in Shadowbringers, the writers are so unwilling to kill of main characters. The farthest they will go is to kill Alphinaud only. Maybe Y'shtola and Thancred fake death scene again….
At the end of the day, Eorzea will be saved and all will be right in the world.
