Opera Singer Reacts: The Twinning (A Long Fall) || Final Fantasy XIV OST

I…can’t believe I had never heard this before. It’s absolutely so fun. Turns out there’s so many little motifs in here from even more than what I mention in the video too. Soken is a damned genius.

  1. All these motifs have one thing in common: The Allagan Empire. They always play when it regards to the Allagans. Azys Lla was a flying fortress built by the Allagans, Crystal Tower was the main building that housed the emperor of the Allagans, and Omega was an extraterrestrial machine that the Allagans studied and developed their most dangerous weapons. The most notable being the Ultima Weapon.

  2. “Music is about emotion” your words just remind me of the quote the channel HDsoundi uses at the start of their many videos “when words fail music speak”, yes music is and always the best way to express emotions

  3. Fun fact: the "crystal tower" and the music heard within it are originally from FFIII which FFXIV draws much of it's inspiration and designs like the jobs system and music.

  4. The twinnings music is top tier and im shocked at how youve never heard it before! Its one of the optional dungeons right after the end of base shadobringers. Though at the time if you wanted to do expert roulette you had to have it. The lore behind the dungeon is so cool! You should run it and then read the lore bits in it in exploration mode if you can.

  5. ever since i heard A Long Fall.this song to me is the theme song of the Warrior of Light. if your character were to be doing his intro in a WWE Match 100% this is what would be playing.

  6. It's a one-off dungeon but it has so much thought and effort put into it. Like literally: There is only one, singular place in the entire thousand-hour game that has this music, and it's an optional side-dungeon. But because it's a "return to the Crystal Tower", and lore-wise one of the bigger chunks of side content tying everything together. That's why the final boss theme is Locus. It's not a Crystal Tower theme. It's a raid theme. Because those storylines are connected, but only through this one dungeon.

  7. You didn’t know this song Marcus? Tsk tsk. 😉 Admittedly we’re generally fighting when this is going, but it’s so worth removing all other sounds and just increasing the volume to hear some of the many other absolute gems in this game! ❤️👍 Enjoy. 😁

  8. The reason why this song is remade so often: Listen to Final Fantasy 3 OST – The Crystal Tower Theme. It's one of the songs again that's a reference to old final fantasy games. Even the Theme Eternal Wind is from FF3
