  1. the xiv community is so fragile. and look , i absolutely hate gratuitous toxicity and im always for being patient and helping newer players. but my god, you as much as say one word sometimes and they crumble like a cheap folding chair. we had a static for TEA around 1 and a half years ago, had a really good thing going….and blm decides to desert the group literally halfway through prog for some bs "i need to do tier 2" reason (even tho everybodys been asked REPEATEDLY if theyre fully committed from the start). so of course i coursed him out, told him to fk off and kicked him out….AND THE ENTIRE STATIC FRIGGIN' TURNED ON ME!!!! like : "listen, im sorry but i cant be part of this environment" and bs like that. and this was the first crossed word ever in the static. jesus christ what a bunch of damsels. how can you be 100% in the wrong and still think you have the moral highground?some of these people playing this game are not build for human interaction. theyre not even human beings theyre made out of glass. and i like how nice and friendly the community is but… doing something serious with these people is a herculean task. thats because everythings too sanitized and nice. so they think they can do whatever they want and everybody will just bend over and be like "yeah no worries bro". and when somebody DOESNT their whole entire world implodes.

  2. xeno "how's this bad" first clip

Let me explain. The FFXIV community's definition of toxic is literally ANY form of criticism (even constructive criticism) is toxic.

But yes you are right its not bad, tell that to the rest of the community tho

  3. Not gonna lie, I've never actually gotten mad in a raid (that's a lie obviously, but I always play it to everyone's benefit by making it funny to boost morale and never lash out at others).

It's why my friends loved having me in their raid groups in Destiny before I started FFXIV, I was the comedic relief

  4. It may not be that the people you raid with hold each other to high standards etc as much as maybe you play with people who like each other outside of raiding? I think when people don't like each other outside of raiding and are just together to clear content there is a higher likelihood of the 3rd and 4th. Even if that tank said "I'll fix my shit" they would have still been pissed and said "that doesn't help", etc. People like this don't want to help the other person because they are just there to clear content and not playing with people they like or respect.
Even in your screw up you posted most of the people with you are just giving you hard time for fun – the players in 3 and 4 meant what they said.
