In this video Xeno goes over his Gunbreaker opener and the rotation that he normally uses and also creates a brand new Gunbreaker opener that on paper seems be very good this tier. Xeno still dislikes the Gunbreaker design in Endwalker and hopes the Final Fantasy 14 devs will increase the No Mercy buff window. GUNMODE

  1. Xeno: The GCD drifts because of No Mercy cool down. If you move this GCD you can fit all of this in your burst

  2. Sick video but I have 1 question. What the hell is Xeno's ping in this game!? Even with a ping of 50 I can't hit flow my skill animations that fast at all. Makes me jealous lmao.

  3. 5:10 – What is the difference between getting in that gnashing fang into the pot window (and building up to two cartridges before) vs just expending the one cartridge you do have on a burst strike earlier on like the "common" rotation for GNB does?

  4. I have been scratching my head on why do I keep feeling like the NM Cooldown feels clunky compared to the rest of the kit (on 2.45 gcd) and Xeno described perfectly how it feels

    Will definetly give a shot to this opener tonight in P7S, looks very interesting from the logic behind it ^^

  5. Finally got my answer to why that cartridge stuff happens when I'm on Solid Barrel and No Mercy has 5 seconds. Wasn't able to figure it out but this vid will help in fixing stuff. Thanks xeno

  6. I'd like to rant about buffs, I play drg and my buffs are 20 for bloodlust 18 for Eye and 15 for Littany I think it's bullshit. Why are buffs not just a static 30 seconds if they want us to burst every 2 mins for 20 secconds 1 miss click or drift is almost unfixable.

  7. Nice videos, but I want to ask. How do you adjust this opener when you have to reprisal or HoL, cause this tier p5s and p7s for me requires me to do 123NM rotation where I have to put reprisal and HoL 3rd gcd to cover raid aoes and I want to see what how this rotation can adjust by it

  8. So fucking true man. I cant put that shit into words like you do but you feel the fucking shitstorm when playing GNB. That addition of a third cartrige really fucks up the rotation. Imo a quick fix would be to reduce the cartridge by 2 make double down cost 1 cartridge and/or possibly increase no mercy to 25s like you suggested. It would bring GNB rotation back to how it was in ShB without all the bullshit.

  9. i mean, lightning shot to pull the boss is great in most fight and i always pull with a range attk but rn the hoss hitbox covers pretty much the entire map, might as well start with keen edge…

  10. correct me if im wrong but don't you miss the continuation on the 2nd gnashing fang under the opener pot? if you do wouldn't it be better to do a burst strike continuation earlier and then delay gnashing fang 1 gcd?

I feel like SE designed No Mercy with 8 GCD's in mind, because your Gnashing Fang Combo + Double Down + Sonic Break + 3 Burst Strike = 8 GCD's and the rest of the bufftimer is for your last continuation and so it's usable in the first oGCD slot. Their EW changes to inner release and delirium makes me think they dont want you to have a certain skillspeed as a requirement for a job. (Which is still dumb considering they only changed blood weapon afterwards.)

    I don't know man, it seems like they want omnitank sets to be viable with the recent direct hit adjustments, but you can't run 2.5 GCD on all tanks with the current bufftimers…
    Really trying to understand SE decisions on this. They hide important information from the Player, but expect you to have a minimum skillspeed for certain jobs? That can't be the case, right?

    So they might take into account that noobs might use NM and FOF in the first oGCD slot?
