This video aims to simply compare endgame raiding in FFXIV and World of Warcraft. I want to be clear, I am not here to say one is better, easier, or harder. Instead, I want to ARM YOU with the tools to decide what sounds more like your cup of tea. I recognize I have some bias due to primarily playing FFXIV right now, but I think both games have great end game content. They just have different ways of getting there right now.

I agree with the take of the two games being very hard to compare/uncomparable for several reasons. I also agree with the analogies of both raiding styles. I think something that could be added to the talk is when looking for a group to raid with in either game, what are the requirements from said people looking for. is it just ilvl of gear? is it experience? achievements established in game? I think those social aspect dictate quite a bit of what you can do as a player looking to raid. I think it might be more difficult for a fresh player in either to start if they have never played the game before which would leave them with nothing to cite to entice groups to want to play with them. Maybe this is more apparent in one game compared to the other. Just something to think about đ
Ultimately the raid scene in both games seems pretty healthy from an outsider's point of view, which is good for everyone. I think my main factor nowadays is if the game respects my time – I have 0 interest in mind numbing months-long daily grinds. Rest bonuses and variety are where it's at now that I'm older.
