Zenos is a complete inversion of the wol, you can see this if you compare his old fully armored look with the classic wol design, really he his a mirror to the wol because what really drives wol? Does he fight for peace and justice or does he fight for the thrill and the glory, the only thing that really separates the wol from Zenos is that wol has people setting him on the right path while zeno has had no one really.
Fandaniel is way more than he seems.
Everybody loved Zenos up until he died in the midpoint finale of Stormblood, and I think that's exactly why they brought him back to life/into the story. But then they failed to follow up on his character in any interesting way. I really believe they could have told a better story if they had Zenos remain dead and elevated Varis into the main villain of Endwalker.
We thought Elidibus was a bland villain, too, just sayin'
