  1. I honestly didn’t have any issues (and I bought from the SE store AND bought the morning of release). Took about 14 hours to get my code after I had pre-ordered the expansion, but no other issues.

  2. Im not sure when the preorder release occurred but i got on and got the collector's box. And usually i miss out on that due to how fast they sell out. Put the info in thinking id get a sold out coming my way and, boom it went through. Was happily surprised

  3. I agree with the game being popular and lots of people are excited with pre-orders. But let's be honest, their website is pretty shit. It's probably the worst thing Sony has going for FF 14. I have two friends that won't play the game because of how difficult it is to just purchase and download it off their website. It's just a really bad design.

But that's ok. I'm glad the game is seeing lots of success!

  4. Yep, I ordered the first day! It took me all day trying to get in the online store! I finally got it to go through late at night! I got the in game items a couple of hours later! I am stoked to play Dawntrail because I love FF9! I am going to take my time & explore everything new! I can't decide which of the three new jobs to start with!

  5. I went through preorder savage lol. I had to buy it as a "guest," but my credit card worked, and I received the code several hours later. All good now though! Can't wait!

  7. I pre ordered for a friend, gave her the code no problem. Planned on getting mine later anyway. The only issue i had was navigating the site as i always forget how to do it.

  8. Dawntrail is going to be huge. It's already fever pitch for people still playing, but I lost count of the people taking a break that popped back in to do the FFXVI event that are also super hyped about DT.

  9. It's concerning for launch if they thought preorder site would be ok.

Also watching Garrett on stream try to buy on release day: "Yoshi-P, I love you. I tell you for your own good. Revamp, simplify, the entire order process "

  10. I bought 2 days after preordered open with paypal. It was smooth and fast, which was weird at that time. I even thought no one was buying it or at least no one bought it that early yet. Apparently I was wrong.

  11. Pre-order time slipped my mind that morning and I thought I'd have to go through a scalper this time but I went to the store at like 2pm and they were still in stock. I was pleasantly surprised. I've bought every CE since ARR and actually had to pay over retail for EW's but it seems like they had enough stock this time around.

  12. I only hope they learn from Endwalker release where we had 2 hour ques to log in and than get server kicked after 30 min. No excuse to "be surprised" this time again.

  13. I'll "preorder" 10 minutes before early access as usual. I have all jobs at 90 so I don't particularly care to get the earring until the new jobs come out. Good luck to people trying to secure a physical CE though.

  14. I was able to pre-order the collectors box and digital edition from the SE store within 10 minutes of it opening on EU. Granted I had to do it as guest as that part broke pretty fast and was able to get the order through on my card before that completely broke. Got my code for the bonus goodies about an hour and a half later. I know I was one of the lucky ones and was probably one of the first who was able to get an order through.

Owing to the 2 week delay meaning I started a course during the new EA day, I wasn't able to time off for EW and due to the queues and choosing a bad part of the MSQ to log off at one point during the early access weekend, I had to spoil the ending for myself as I literally couldn't sleep over it.

This time however I made sure I got Early Access Day and the following week off for Dawntrail, considering Krile is my favourite character and DT is her big moment to finally shine, it was important I had the time off to get the MSQ done without spoilers ( though I'm debating whatever or not to spend day 1 unlocking and leveling Pictomancer. )

  15. I wonder how many were trying for the physical collectors sets, vs digital only. I'll get digital collectors at some point, but there's no rush. Fear of missing the physical collectors I can understand.

  16. I'm hesitantly optimistic that with all the work they have done on the physical data centers (replacing hardware etc), and running a successful NA cloud server test, as well as a so far pretty successful cross region test to OCE, that DT will go alright. If we can get players to offload to OCE, Dynamis, and cloud servers (especially if they have them not just in NA, but have some for EU and JP as well), and DC travel doesn't totally BREAK as it has at high volume times in the past… then it can go alright. People just have to be willing to leave some gil behind because they wont have access to their retainers while away. But then again, they wont have access while in a massive que either so.. make up your mind which it will be, you know?

  17. I can guarantee you that by far the number one reason anyone is pre-ordering is to get the 30% XP boost to 90 earring. BY FAR! The reason why there's still plenty of stock for the Collector's box is that it sucks. The box art is awful (truly awful like a high-schooler made it), the map is weeny small, the figure stand looks like he's standing on a pile of dog poo (and by the way… why not a female figure choice?), a blank note-taking book that isn't even hardback, and that stupid pen holder is, well, um… that's something that would go straight into a drawer never to be seen again until your kids are clearing out the house after you die and ask, "What the fuck is this shit?" Oh, and the website crashed because they're still using TERRIBLE sites that seem like they were designed in Windows 95. I mean seriously, wtaf is with clinging to the Mog Station and Lodestone anymore? Awful, just awful. Embarrassing in this day and age. Anywho… I bought my Standard copy and had no problems at all.
