  1. One thing I've been doing between patches is my island sanctuary. Pentamelding often requires lower level materia, not just the current expansion ones. I've got enough cowries saved up since 7.0 to buy 500 rank 9 materia, which can work in the place of rank 7 materia in melding guides as well. They may even work for rank 5, but I have forgotten if that is the case or not. Often, it is the lower level materia that are very expensive on a crafting patch, because people have been passively gathering the rank11 and 12 materia just doing regular crafting.

  4. I've been sending all my retainers out for those minions for about a month now. Only one so far (Quetzal) but I keep holding on hope!

    I'd love to see more analysis of retainers, though. Especially on best/cheapest ways to gear them to maximize Perception for bringing back the most items possible at once. I've tried to plan but each time I look at it, the materia cost was way too high to risk it.

  6. So in the end you said nothing because those are all things people do anyway or not at all anyway. It has nothing to do with downtime. Its just a fact that especially now in the beginning of an expansion there is nothing to do when done with the hard content.

  7. Good to hear from ya again, been looking back through your previous videos to review what to expect in the X.1-2 patches, farming tech, etc. Definitely seconding the Deliveries recommendation, they're usually the first bit of content I do on reset week and it's a good way to get extra scrips.
