Bro got the deluxe elite ultra ultimate 3rd party package deal 😂😂😂 and still got pooped on
this is the reason I left WoW, such an interface is standart there…
A first clear should be achieved on a console format basically, any clear actually and any thing that assists you in a clear what a console cannot use is cheating in my opinion.
So they turned the game into WoW raiding in a nutshell.
This reminds me of playing WoW with all the hacks they had in that game, but WoW expects you to have certain cheats installed to be able to complete their raid content. In FFXIV the Zoom hack has been in the game w/in the first few months after launch of FFXIV.
And how the guy got the cut scene was the same way the gold farmers would farm gold, they learned what the client sent to the server when you sold items to the vendors, & they'd just spam the hand in code for the item for unlimited gold. I'm guessing the guy that hacked the cut scene learned the code for the cut scene before this one, & just added a 1 to the video code… well that is the first thing I'd try, or add the next hex number.
When the game first launch we all learned to be prepared to raid, to have a stack or two of food that fell off with death, so if you died during a pull & got raised you were expected to food up again, & pots, & if you didn't gather & craft you'd be broke damn fast. There was a lot of good gamers that couldn't raid because they'd be "A Poor" all the time. To raid you had to put more time in gathering & crafting, then playing a combat job. So with that, a lot of raiders had to buy gil until they leveled up their gathering & crafting jobs. I never did, I borrowed gil from a couple FC mates & bought out all of the best food for tanks, & all of the specific fish to make it two hours before raid time, & reposted it all in larger stacks at triple the normal going price & back then all of it would sell out, so I raided with none stop Market Board messages of my sales.
Once I leveled up my gathering & crafting I mostly stuck to fishing & cooking the fish because at that time the best food for a tank was this a fish dish, & since most tanks were raid leaders they could never go into a raid without the best food to show the rest of the static, if they could do it, then everyone was could. The damn fish were only able to be caught within a set time window of a game hour (15 mins) & certain weather conditions. And most of the time that fish was the same price as it being cooked on the market board.
In the FFXIV static I ran everyone was expected to have two useful, needed classes, the tanks had to have both, then all three tanking jobs, healers were expected to have all the healing jobs, the DPS were expected to have a melee & ranged jobs, just as long as the groups weren't doubling up on the same jobs. Some raid bosses were easier with all melee, or more ranged, some healer jobs did better against some bosses, & the same was true involving tanks. LOL everyone in my static also had a tanking job maxed out, just to run their daily dungeons faster. And very few items were specific for any particular job, LOL hell everyone when leveling would toss on gear that dropped, only later to find out it was for crafting.
Back then everyone was leveling more than one job, many people went for all of them maxed out, & it was damn easy, as long as you got in a Fates & Hunt linkshell, or in the background (or a second monitor) had the web site open, there was an addon that reported it to the website & updates were instant. I think ACT does this now, I could be wrong.
Everytime I write anything involving this game I end up written a book, I loved playing it, I am even paying for it now, I just need the time to sit down & play … when you own a home that needs work, any free time should be put to working on the house, I just gotta set aside a couple of hours everyday to play before I go insane.
All work & no play makes Jack go insane. All work & no play makes Jack go insane. All work & no play makes Jack go insane. All work & no play makes Jack go insane. All work & no play makes Jack go insane. All work & no play makes Jack go insane. All work & no play makes Jack go insane. All work & no play makes Jack go insane. All work & no play makes Jack go insane.
Still wish they would put a parser on consoles, I would really be convenient, since properly 99% of pc player use them and its a helpful program which I believe it good for self progress.
Do you think people are asking for some of the QoL suggestions you mentioned or jumping straight into modding them because it's faster than waiting to be noticed? They may not even know everything players want until it's a mod. (Which really is on them, but only if people actually ask for it.) I feel like the best fix for all of it would be for the devs to have a group scouring what people want all the time so QoL gets updated at a faster rate.
Just don't mod 5head. I don't and i raid perfectly fine o.O
My friend got curious and tested out the super illegal mods in our p8 reclear, its fucking insane how much it trivialized it, he also got a headache from using it for 10 minutes, its sad that people use those tools and then act like they are better than everyone else.
to be honest.. this looks more confusing than the actual fight.
i have no idea what is what here, actual fight is clearer
also the zoom outs, i can barely see whats going on? is this really helping people clear it?
This looks like WoW.
How are sure that Unnamed didnt used this stuff?
Maybe the guy who video recorded it didnt, but others did?
People who are saying "Well if they add some, they'll have to allow others" are falling for the slippery slope logic fallacy. There is a VERY clear difference between mods that break the game's limits like zoom hacks or coach you through content and mods that are purely for aesthetic purposes and impart no mechanical advantage or change to the game. Just because I'm able to make it so you can summon Leviathan or Sophia doesn't mean your summoner job mechanics are changing. It doesn't change the kind of damage your attack does or its potency. The line between what is and isn't acceptable may not be perfectly clear, but it isn't as difficult to see as some of you are making it.
And as for the issue of which platforms can use mods, that is an issue mod tool creators would LOVE to overcome. But that would require that SE work with us instead of keeping us at arm's length. Digital Extremes is an example of a studio that brought on third-party aesthetic content creators to their game Warframe, and the Tennogen content became EXTREMELY popular and is available on not just PC, but Xbox, Play Station, and Nintendo as well. I think they might even be on the Steam deck. Many of us would be thrilled to have that sort of relationship with SE, even if we weren't paid for it like the Tennogen creators are.
Obviously not every mod creator would be welcome. Most probably wouldn't be due to the nature of the content they create. There are some horny and disgusting fuckers that some of us would welcome some distance that sanctioning from SE would give us. Obviously, only the creators that are willing to work within SE's user ratings would make the cut, but some of us would jump at that opportunity.
you just dumb for not using every tool available stop pretending they are still better player than 90% of playerbase of this game
Nobody thinks zoom is autowin. That's a strawman. Those people just think that any unfair advantage shouldn't count towards something special like a world's first clear.
Square Enix (SE) were planning to add addons to the console players soon after launch because of a lot of the console players bitched for them… then SE regained their wits & realized the hacks could be used to hack the players consoles, maybe even screwed up their firmware & SE would have let the players use them, & would have been seen as SE making it possible & responsible.
And I am very sure SE didn't want to end up owning truck loads of broken PS3's & having to buy new ones, if they even could, they might have to buy them the new PS4 or repair all of the old PS3s, it would have been the end of SE because they were on the verge of bankruptcy as it was, FFXIV is what saved Square Enix from going Chapter 11. … or was it the PS2 that FFXIV launch on ten years ago?
There was also a lot of talk about releasing FFXIV on the XBox a year after launch back then, did FFXIV ever come out for the XBox? Does WoW working on any of the consoles?
imagine getting every mod added to FFXIV natively and then someone comes up with an Auto-Play Script^^;
If they fix the latency, I will uninstall dalamud all together.
Modding should never evolve past convinence features.
Honestly i think with 7.0 and the overhaul of many engine features, i can imagine them trying to put roadblocks for moddingtools there. At this point i doubt there will be modding as we know it past this expansion
It's even harder to play like that lmfao
How hard this fight is reminds me of WoW where mythic raids have been so hard that it has caused less people to raid since they are tuning for the .1% who say that they think the fights should be more difficult and they gotta keep being harder.
There are a few UI mods I like that I wish they would let us do OR improve their own UI design with flexibility in mind, letting us adjust every element of the UI. I don't walways want to see mine or other parties MP bar besides certain classes. so what I have on mine, when the person updates the addon that hasn't been updated yet, is shrink down the mana bar on party frames, turn it a light blue and making it a 1/3rd of my HP bar and stacking it under the health bar I turn green. It's still in the same style/design as SEs so it doesn't look out of place in the game. Things like that are stuff I wish I could do to the UI as well as shrink my target bar without botching the text. I don't need a mega target bar.
The problem is these are too common, and high rank "raiders' Depend heavily on this shit to win in most cases, because they can't do it naturally to get a win quick enough. it's just that most aren't dumb enough to show it to the public.
I don't care about them using a zoom mod to help them win the fight, I care about them using a zoom mod to help them get "world first" even if it's a relatively small thing. it'd be like if someone wants to exercise using a little steroids or a lot of steroids, I don't care, but when they compete against others, it's a problem no matter how much or how little it benefits them.
WOW used to have mods like this where they show the circles around your character and lines telling you where to run and stuff. What's funny is that they had to ban them back in wrath of the king. Anything that draws stuff onto the floor generally has been banned for over a decade now. FF14 mods are now holding your hand harder than WOW mods.
Yoshi will Can't have nice things the whole Ultimate raid series if this keeps up sadly.
Why say the name…snitch
I was fighting the last raid boss in dragonflight and i was like “she’s going to do her breath attack and i have to pop a defensive or we wipe” and I’m all worried. I’m looking at my addon trying to figure out when this move is coming. Then she rears her head way the hell back and I say “oh okay, here it comes, that was easy.” I couldn’t imagine doing a FF ultimate where you have all these cryptic mechanics. Wow in this patch is straight up easier than FF and half the population isn’t around to see these (largely) fair, well designed fights
I swear some of these gamers sound legit crazy. The psychotic laughter is so cringe.
I stopped playing this game and became one of those guys who only comes back for expansions mostly because of how unfun raiding is now and as I've gotten older I rather dislike "Scheduled free time" bowling club feel of FFXIV raiding. I think if they want to preserve the "world first race" and really don't want people modding then it might be time to add either EZ anti cheat or battle eye. Both of the anti cheat solutions can be configured to allow devs to whitelist "Legitimate" software like reshade while also protecting the game from the "Automated mobile game EZ mode callouts mods" that killed WoW's raid scene. Honestly these days I have more fun with hunt, tarkov, and foxhole then I do with FFXIV's stale combination of playing linear bop it for combat and red rover and red light green light to dodge out of gimmick attacks.
ALSO XENO MY MAN. if by some miracle or grace of god you get invited to a press event I NEED you to pester yoshida about making sure to do a HARDCORE shader compilation pre cache in FFXVI. This is the cause of the dirty ass dog water performance drops on ff7 remake and if capcom to can do it for their pc ports of switch games then is no reason Yoshida's port team cant. God speed my bother in Christ.
There were people in the chat saying thinks like "Hey, what if SE designs raids/ultimates around mods?", like that would be a good thing. Should SE ever do this (which I don't thing they would), that's exactly how the beginning of the end for FFXIV looks like.
Well, lets use experience (WoW) and logic to try and predict what that would look like:
1) SE decides to work out the mechanics and difficulty presuming players would use the best mods available to facilitate hardcore content
2) Some groups and will not want their game looking like that sh** you've seen above, and/or want to actually enjoy and beat the difficulty instead of using a machine that tells them what to do and where to move at all times. These people will refuse to use such mods.
3) The groups mentioned above won't clear hardcore content because it was meant to be beaten by tool-assisted players who just follow their directions like obedient zombies. The groups will give up and probably abandon the game, while the individuals will not stay in groups because they're either failing or not even be accepted if they confess to not be using the mods.
In other words, mods will become obligatory and the game will look like sh** and play like sh**. Yoshida played WoW and watched this happen in real time to the raiding content. He doesn't want that to happen to FFXIV. If you want to play WoW, go play WoW.
As someone who left WoW behind because of this ("if you wanna raid hc/m with us use addons which tells/shows you every mechanic") I'm really disappointed to see that shit in FF again.
I was happy everyone said:"You don't need that shit to solve endgame raids."
But I learned so many people use it…
…
I was so blind and naive :'(
I really dont get what the whole "beard mod" talk is about? SE is doing the absolutly right thing here. If you use a 3rd party tool, what is against the TOS, its against the TOS! It doesnt matter if its a beard mod, a zoom hack or just turns your bar green cause you like green. If you act against the TOS, you act against the TOS! So please stop whining about it.
I agree with yoshi what's the point of doing challenging content if you are not at the lvl to do it and you just gonna use cheats instead? I do not understand it one bit. There is content for all skill lvls and all tastes and that's what makes ffxiv the best mmo atm so just do the content at your lvl?
At 2:50 when he's talking about how beard mods and cheats like what are shown are the same in SE eyes seems a bit dishonest from him a bit. The reason they take that stance is that they can punish anyone that uses them at their discretion, and that they will be in the right.
i mean if they're making everything illegal might as well download cheat mods lmao
I made the video as a shitpost to make playing FFXIV as obnoxious as possible. The other people in the party are pf randoms from a p1 program loop party that I joined to record this video, so please don’t witch-hunt them as they are completely innocent.
This looks like a regular raider in wow… lul
i agree with xeems that if you want a tight dps check you need a parser in the game, and i await for the brave hero who will stream bigger icons for personal buffs and martyr himself for the community
I play both wow and ff and i hate that blizzard has to design raids with addons in mind. I would rather have it like ff, BUT sceenix has to implement more stuff from addons into the game. There are reasons why people use them aside from the cheating ofc.
why is he looking at wow gameplay?
I don't understand why ppl be bitchin about zoom out is cheat, why dont ya try use it and see can clear or not, the 1% population clearly still a better player than the 99%. To me allagan melon that usually people use to clear uwu is more cheating than just zooming out. Double standard is real. And yup splatoon is even more bullshit.
And these casuals who keep badmouthing zoom out, your mods that doesn't affect gameplay is also illegal. No matter what u use, if it wasn't originally from square enix, it's illegal. Even discord is also third party just saying.
Not only is it bad, it's pathetic lol. Yoshi P's statement rings so true 🤣
Cheating an still wiping. Sad as fuck.🤣🤣
How can you play like this though I can't tell what's going with how zoomed out it is
Act and all of its functions… nah bro, fk that. They better add their own parser so console players can use it too.
I'd probably still go green like in ARR if it wasn't for parsing
Uh this is awkward. This is one of the characters being displayed. The person who is using plugins is in a Aether PF group. They did not mention the use of them and did not communicate callouts for us either. If there could be a disclaimer added as this is slanderous to the other 7 unknowing players.
I feel like some of the issues with mods could be resolved with a mod workshop like in Bethesda titles. As in a set number of mods are allowed by SE to be downloaded on console, but mainly those which are approved by SE in terms of optimization and effect they have on the game. The problem with that though is that I don't know how Sony feels about this nor SE's mentality on that kind of modding. I also heard Japanese IP laws are stupidly strict
I like how this is cheating in FF14, but this is how people actually play WoW :D.
pathetic
Same third party rant
