  2. Talking a potency. I remember when we got to nald thal in the alliance and had to deal with the scales. And now we can burn down nald thal and skip those mechanics all together.

  3. I've been going back and doing Eureka and Bozja for the first times, and gearing in Eureka is so much more fun. It totally baffled me that bozja gear is so useless. In all likelihood I won't go completionist in Eureka and build all the weapons and armour, but seeing drops and thinking about the progress and content island stat gain feels so much better than getting coins in bozja and wondering if there's a point in keeping them.

That 'content island', 'horizontal progression' thing just makes rewards so easy without having to arbitrarily complicate core gear progression

  4. I feel like the dungeon vote issue is one of kit. I love brayflox, but I hate that white mage is a level off regen, a lot of jobs don't have their aoe, and that first room kills more tanks than it has any right to.

  5. Picking up keys is easy. Having to click the confirmation button that "Yes" I want to open the mandatory dungeon door, drives me up the wall at how pointless it is.
I can accept that confirmation prompts on purchasing stuff probably cuts down on the support tickets to reverse user-errors. But who's sending in support tickets about accidentally opening a dungeon door, which you have to open to progress the dungeon?

  6. 2:06:00 interesting. I remember running Fell Court of Troia hundreds and hundreds of times to collect the fending, maiming and striking sets because I thought they looked cool. Probably my most run dungeon period lol, I like it.

  7. The thing I agree with is that at some point a videogame has to start expecting something from their playerbase. Even on casual content you have to do that to keep the people that have walked the path interested. If you keep things the same eventually people lose interest due to lack of challenge. ESPECIALLY when you already have 3 expansions and a full game worth of content to practice in. You already get you fair share of easy content you can blitz through.

I do get that the FF fans want the game to stay super inclusive and easy to approach game, but going forward it doesn't need to do that anymore as heavily. Because the downside is that players will just move on to other games they find the excitement and thrill in. People will 100% disagree with this because it directly goes against the mission statement of FF14 so far, where the game has been trying to be more inclusive and avoid not letting people progress.

Additionally because we have concluded a saga, it should 100% let the devs do whatever the heck they want for the next expansion. The past should not effect the future of the game in this case, because the past has concluded. We are done with that section of a game and whatever comes next, in my mind can be as difficult as the devs want it to be. I do not give a shit if that goes against something they've done in the past or if it goes against the players fragile egoes about what FF14 should and should not be like.

  8. Man you know, I was perfectly content with healers in Shadowbringers, and even into Endwalker.

But then I played healers in PvP and realized how unique they could be, and I ask for an ounce, a fraction of that in Dawntrail. Just a little.

  9. As someone who plays the game casually, I don't mind making things harder or more difficult, but for the love of all that's holy please put pity loot in the endgame dungeons. I had to run alzadaal over twenty times just to get the striking chest for a glam, and constantly met ult proggers who had 30+ runs of Lapis/Lunar trying to get their final piece of gear.

  10. Arthars: We need more engaging content that you can do with a group
Also Arthars: We need more Eureka and Bozja

Does Arthars think Eureka and Bozja are engaging? They are very much not engaging
