That evil tataru smile. I can understand why she is final boss. The community will love it if she turned into final boss for comedic purposes.
Minfilia's ARR voices sound like they could be from the same person. Also Gosetsu sounds the same in both languages LOL
HONESTLY
first time ive ever heard japanese VA and thought it sounded worse
like as far as a game goes the only other game i can think of that i actually preferred the japanese VA to the english was nier automata
but man they really got a great cast for the english VAs in FF14
I aggressively hate most of the English voices. If you're going to give everyone British accents, hire British actors
Just a small correction, Yotsuyu in japanese it’s voice by Shizuka Ito 🙂
I think some of these are using the wrong clip or image. Like the voice clip for Ysayle is from ARR, but the picture is for the HW voice actress.
Lahabrea is voiced by the same voice actor as Gundam's Char Aznable btw
We can all agree that Livingway's English VA is by far the best of them all.
Usually I’m subs over dubs but FFXIV’s English voice cast is killing it

I'm so used to the English VAs at this point really but it's really good. The JP VAs are also good for me…1st time hearing some of them but I totally get it why they are voiced that way…Though I usually associate Lalas with a higher pitch voice so hearing them with such low tones always surprise me 😀

I played with German dub first then switched really fast to English dub because the German dub is just… well not that great. I thought about switching do Japanese Dub but I am happy that I did not… some of the voices just do not sound right to me after playing so many hours with English dub. Like Emets, Zenos, Hythlodaeus, Venats and Livingways voices are just that good in English for me, that I just cannot listen to the japanese ones. 😀
