Ps3 time, it was hell to type in console without kb. You lag just opening the text chat then you lag when you type.
I interpreted her not chatting as a language barrier thing, maybe an English speaker on a Japanese server or vice versa. From that lens her chatting at the end means she learned how to say welcome back in her friends language which I think makes it that much more touching.
i was like that once, when i 1st played in japanese server, before discovering Tonberry.
Reminds me off that anime about a mute girl or was she deaf, I can't quite remember
