Scholar has had a ton of amazing changes going into Dawntrail and I got to try them during the FFXIV Dawntrail Media Tour event and I can tell you for a fact that the newest additions to the Scholar’s toolkit are AMAZING like I am truly blown away by what the development team have made here!
Let’s break down the Scholar changes and get into the details about why Seraphism is the best ability ever added for healers in FFXIV! Great amazing fantastic set of abilities that gives us as Scholar players SO much power. THIS IS AWESOME!

Honestly the two minute meta is one of the worst parts of Endwalker's battle design, and it's really sad to see that they leaned further into it. I don't know if I can do another three raid tiers this expansion that just involves Direct Crit fishing under the buff window, lol.
Regardless, I'm very happy to see that you got into the media tour!
Personally, I think they should change things back to a three minute meta like ShB was.
Job design feels like it’s getting way to pigeon holed to be stuck on 120s cooldowns and it makes everything into massive Crit-direct hit fishing sessions on 1k potency actions, holding gauges and buffs for the bursts instead of actually using those buffs as needed
I'd rather have no raid buff window at all. It's unnecessarily stressful. Just, I don't know, make buffs only effect the user so they can time their own burst, and classes that are more focused on supportive buffs deal less damage by themselves but the buffs can be refreshed back to back, I guess?
I get why they didn't change it in DT with how much is changing from the new story arc to the graphical update but I do hope that in the next expansion they remove raid wide damage buffs completely. It's why everything feels so homogenous, everything has to have the same timings basically so it's kind of the same vibe for every job.
I'd rather party buffs just be removed, then you can just push your buttons.
It seems like Viper gets to have fun in the 2 min meta.
