  1. 37:54 regarding "yurt:" the Azim Steppes are patterned strongly after Mongolia and traditional Mongolian culture. Among the Mongols and other peoples of Central Asia, yurts are traditional housing: a framework of bamboo or wooden struts, covered with animal skins or felted wool for insulation. They're well suited to the nomadic lifestyle traditional in that part of the world: easy to take down, transport, and set up.

  2. 11:57 Doesn't even LOOK at her. At least he did that for Fordola.

13:05 That's what abusers are like. She was humiliated by a stronger abuser and she immediately turns around and abusers someone below her.

15:30 My guess is it's more collateral damage from the Shinryu/Omega fight, like the hole in the northern mountain.

18:30 Yeah, the music in the Azim Steppe is gorgeous. The zone is based loosely on the Mongolian steppes, so maybe something from that.

19:40 All playable races are broken down into two clans. The xaela are one of the clans of the au ra.

    47:00 "Oh, behave!" /Austin Powers

    48:09 Like I said, Mongolia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yurt

49:50 You were outside the area of the fate, marked in blue on your minimap. If you leave it, all fate mobs reset. Since Bort was the only one of you inside it and he died, the mob reset.

54:30 Stop leaving the quest area, ya dummy. =-)

1:06:55 You're going to like this. Around this point they start introducing a ton of new mechanics in dungeons. Boy, Sirensong Sea sure feels like a long time ago, eh?

1:10:10 Yup, it's a pure mechanics fight. If you get hit twice in one round you're chained and stunned till the next round. If everyone gets chained it's a wipe.

    1:11:33 Yes, indiana Jones.

  3. Welcome to the steppe! I chose to play a Xaela from the beginning of my journey, and have never changed. When i got to this area i knew i made the right choice, because it weirdly felt a bit like home to me.

The people of the steppe are mostly wandering tribes, and that free-spirited nature strikes a chord with me. It was why i picked Oschon as my patron as well.

  4. Hien is Husbando #1 lol My other true love comes much later in the game lmao The story is about to get really fun now. Everything kinda speeds up past this zone a little

  5. Sorry Two, it was a tie. One of the 7 enemies you killed was not a gulo gulo. It was something that was preying on the gulo gulo and it attacked you for stealing its meal.

Also, you absolutely MUST stay in the FATE zone when fighting FATE enemies and bosses! If the boss detects that you left the FATE zone, it WILL forcibly reset the entire encounter from the beginning.

  6. Awww man I felt so bad for you when you went out of the FATE zone not once but twice XD The big blue circle on your minimap, that's the FATE zone, and FATE enemies reset if their targets leave it. If you're the only one left inside the zone with aggro, it will reset if you leave. In your first fight, you were out the whole time, but Bort was in, so the boss stayed on him; if he'd lived, you'd have been fine. But alas, he died, thus the reset.

Side-note: you can resummon your chocobo friend if he dies in combat! Just use the gysahl green like usual, and he'll come right back to fight some more. There's a short cooldown, I think, but it's totally possible to resummon a bird who dies in the middle of a long fight. If you're careful, you can use that to spread damage between you and him; if you move out of the FATE, he'll keep fighting, but then, if you step back into the FATE before he dies, you'll get back on the aggro table and the boss won't reset. Then resummon him, so he fights some more, and if your health gets low, step outside again so that the boss targets him, and so on.

  7. I was laughing so hard at the FATE. I looked up at the map and just saw it getting closer to the edge. I'm so sorry but it's so relatable haha 😂

Also I totally jumped immediately back into Bardam's Mettle the first time I played through haha

  8. Cirina is too precious for this world.
Azim Steppe is just one of the best 💚The Xaelas are so cool. And the story characters in this zone are also some of my favorites in this game 🌚🌝

  9. o.O 41:10 That prophecy I had forgotten about, knowing what is to come, that's really amazing!! It actually fits beyond Stormblood into the larger narrative in ways that are so amazing!!! There's no way they could have mapped out THAT much, maybe that was a real prophecy!!! hahaha!

  10. 14:47 — Reading the words again, I'm more inclined to believe that he's talking about himself: when Nighogg's shade was banished, he, Estinien, swore to leave the bloodshed behind (remember, he said he was tired of all the fighting at the end of 2.3) – but now he's back ^.^

15:58 — Damn you, that made me laugh way too much XD XD XD

19:45 — Xaela are one of the two Au Ra clans that you can pick as a player, the ones with the black/dark scales 😀 Rean are the others with whitish, pink scales. They have different lore but in the end, as a player you pick what looks best to you 😛 Though most people agree, that the Xaela lore is much cooler 😀

23:26 —- khm XD To each tribe their own XD

    46:31 — Dont be a sore loser 😛

    1:05:54 — Strange… its nighttime in the dungeon's cutscene… Whenever I run it, its day time… o.o

1:24:47 — Well, I guess the good thing about fetch quests here is, they dont take long. Usually its a handful of mobs or less, and they always drop what you need… Yes, I still have PTSD from Zhevra hooves and boar hearts XD
