This Mount Requires All the Content – Getting Every Achievement in FFXIV #47

We’re back for another week in Final Fantasy XIV checking out some more Triple Triad card hunting! At long last, it’s finally time to go for the magicked card mount from Shadowbringers. Will we live to see the end?

  1. I hope I can get the toast and jam mount someday. 😌

btw, there are times where I've spent well over half an hour grinding away, but I just don't want to leave until I'm done. Then there are those where I'm suddenly done after just a few games. I think the absolute worst ones are unlocked with the Alliance raids – I assume they drop the same cards as the raids themselves. They're the only ones I left for later, knowing I could easily be there for hours and still not get what I need.

  2. hoping you one day return to the MSQ retelling series "Mad Because Small" but I was surprised that I enjoyed your Minecraft video… I don't even play Minecraft. If FFXIV dies you can become a Minecraft content creator!

  3. Oh, when you said "roll against 24 other people". My first thought was "no silly, it's only 8" because I was thinking ot the 3 separate chests, but at the end, there's a 4th chest that's open to the entire raid. That explains why my luck with things like pets and cards seemed to be a lot worse.

  4. The hardest card for me by far was Mother Porxie in Matoya's Relict, I swear I did that dungeon at least 30 times to get it. Never want to see that place ever again, how was a 2 star card of all things my white whale?

  5. The cards that are the most annoying for me to get are: 1) The G-Warrior, or whatever it's called, where you have to spend one of each totems from an extreme Weapon fight. I had two for the longest time but couldn't get anyone to run Diamond Weapon (extreme) with me unsynced to get that last totem. I was finally able to find a group to run it with after we could get to level 100 with Dawntrail. 2) The Blue Mage enemy cards. This one is annoying because to unlock the NPC, you have to make it through the Masked Carnivale. I've unlocked up to round 30 so far, but it gets just so annoying because the fights and long and they're multiple round fights. So if you die on round two, you have to do round one again before you can practice the mechanic you died on in round two again. It's very annoying and so far I just haven't bothered with sitting down and trying to do it. But I want to get all the cards so I'm going to have to do it eventually.

  6. Grats on jelly toast mount! Eden's Promise took me a few days of just queuing normal over and over to get. Diamond Weapon was a bit spirit crushing though because I left with 50+ totems when I finally got the card. No mount though lol.

  7. OK, so as a player with 425/425 i feel i can answer the question on worst cards to get.
Eden's Promise was the last one i got for my mount, took several runs to get, easly one of the worst boss drop rates.
I got Bahamut from king Elmer, i know there are better ways NOW, but now when i was trying to get it. so that's worst NPC drop rate to me.
Master Mogzin is the worst NPC to open up, and i still don't believe Hraesvelgr can drop from him, i ultimately got it from Platinum card packs and luck.
Warrior of light i got from gold packs, but it was in a moogle tome stone recently, otherwise its purely a 1% pray it drops kid of deal.
Lightning has i think the worst rule set for the all server tournament, plus its in a rotation of 1/4 every 2 weeks….

So in no particular order those are the 5 worst in my opinion.

  8. The otter you play in the Ruby Sea took me about 9 hours worth of winning matches to drop a not so great card, so that was probably the worst grind with the silver sack from Eureka Orthos being my current white whale

  9. I fully support the idea of diversifying the game you plays! For how much I love FFXIV, and the content you make on it, the burnout is real and I’d rather spare you from it.

Also, you’re the driving force behind the channel, the energy and character you put in every video – and I’d rather see more of it on everything rather then just on FFXIV

  10. I remember as a little sprout going through heavensward and running Somh Al (Hard) maybe about 25 times. I could tank that dungeon lobotomized now. The trial thats taken the longest so far is Emanation. I just dropped into party finder WT clears and mount farm parties for like a week till it dropped.

  11. Fortunately Dying Gasp isn't the one everyone dies on if someone botches the QTE – that's Seat of Sacrifice.

And it's never a mechanic that should have been put in normal, imo. Worst cards have been the heads of the GCs – they Just. Won't. Drop.
