Though this guide mainly targets new/low level players, I think a lot of these tips would also be great for people who are broke and are wondering where to find free/affordable glams in game c:

  1. Really good info as always
I could be wrong but I believe you unlock the Emperor's new clothes when you unlock glam and dyes from that lady you mentioned. I remember that for years I had assumed that those were cash shop items before realising I had already unlocked them haha.
For those who don't like PvP, the nondurable versions of the items from the disreputable merchant lady are available from the Gold Saucer.
Last point, before traveling to an NPC merchant, check what the MB price + tp costs are. Don't spend 1k to tp to save 300 gil.
Also Aitherea showed it but didn't mention it, but you can use certain items to delete others. You can sometimes use that to your advantage.

  2. How to Serve Cunt at Level 30.

    On the Garo items:
1st: Undyeable versions also exist in the Gold Saucer for MGP
2nd: If you complete the achievement of buying a class's entire set and modeling it for the Disreputable Priest that class's gear becomes purchasable from the Calamity Salvager.

It seems like it ran for all of Stormblood so it might go away in Dawntrail or it might not.

  3. great video! i'm almost level 60 and there's a lot i didn't know, esp the emperor's new clothes are a lifesaver with all the ugly necklaces you tend to get. i've been using the miqote base skirt as a glamour for all the weird pants leveling gear tends to have, and the thighboots you can get from the adders nest are a lifesaver while leveling!

  4. Finally a video talking about attainable early game FASHION!!! I wish I had watched this when I first started so so good! Thank you. Also very much appreciate the shout out to queen swyrgeim. She’s the goat

  5. It's worth checking if the item is part of a set that comes from a coffer. The main one I remember are the Firmament glams like Peacekeeper and Casual, where one of the pieces is like 90%+ of the cost so grabbing the coffer can get you a couple extra items at very close to no cost.

  6. If I may, sometimes normal armor and weapon vendors have decent gear to use as glam, such as Leather Sandals and Any of the Dress gloves.

There's also some that are craftable if you invest in weaving, leatherworking or goldsmithing

  7. Makai parts can also be bought in Gold Saucer these are also level 1 versions but they cannot be dyed
Another way to get hunt seals is to unlock BLU and do Masked Carnivale it gives around 450 seals when the 3 arena weekly is completed.

  8. I've always found it hilarious that Swyrgeim is the glam unlock NPC and she's wearing the most horrendously ugly outfit ever, from the colors to the pieces themselves. She looks like a beater jalopy that someone has a bunch of mismatched auto panels on.

  9. thank you for the guide! definitely some helpful tips, glam always makes me wish i could use the marketboard but im still on free trial so ive gotta do my best elsewhere. What is the cute layered white top your character is wearing for most of this video?
if it's unavailable to me on free trial don't worry about hurting my feelings, im used to it by now XD

  10. I did not even know that you don’t actually have to have a wedding to get the wedding clothes! I’ve always wanted the dress set so I might just ask a friend to help me and just not do the wedding 😂

  11. Fashion Report. The shop with Kasumi only unlocks if you get 100 points x times in a row – I think its 8 times. Something like "win 800 points in 8 weeks) or somesuch. She doesnt oben shop right away… unless they changed that ^^°

9:57 — I prefer the Adders: the casting crown is unmatched and fits with every glam ^.^ And though they may not be as cute as the Flamme's loincloth, the Adder's caster bottoms are every versatile, too. Though I have to add, I like the more "rustic" glams as opposed to "flimsy", "cute" ones – unless I play dancer that is ^.^

14:21 — You have climb the ranks first to unlock this feature 🙁 I think need the third or forth level (counting from bottom here) before you can exchange (dungeon) gear for seals with that NPC.

Also, edit: I'm not sure (maybe its different merchants: I usually go to the one in Mor Dhona), but the emperor's gear only unlocks if you have leveled you crafters beyond a certain threashold. I had that just recently with my alt… But yeah, maybe its different merchants?
