The Sanity Draining World Of Jumping Puzzles | Final Fantasy XIV

When you think of hard content in Final Fantasy XIV, Jumping Puzzles are definitely not the first things to ‘jump’ to mind… Ok even I admit that one was bad. Regardless, though not being immediately thought of, Jumping Puzzles are still infamous among the FFXIV player base, none more so than the Kugane Jumping puzzle. Despite being horrible at jumping puzzles or platforming of any kind, I decided to attempt every jumping puzzle I knew of in Final Fantasy XIV all in one night, and that sanity-draining adventure is what brought this video into existence.

  1. I think kugane tower took me like 4 hours to do. I was determined. But I hated myself afterwards, I wanted to do it before wrapping up stormblood and I hated myself, but it felt poetic standing on top of the place you saw yugiri and gosetsu on right before the stormblood finale.

  4. You, sir… like to hurt yourself… Since I give up with the Gold Saucer JPs at least every 2nd attempt… well… Moving on.
To make a long story short: I' highly suspectible to frustration so JPs are the one thing in any game I avoid like the Plague. And you're demonstration just confirmed that (who am I kidding, I'll go up there sooner than doing Zadnor >.< ) 😀
    Nice closing words btw XD

  5. I see you're the same as me. I hate jumping puzzles. I had to use Blue Mage and someone else ressing my self-destructive arse to get the freaking sightseeing points XD

  6. As someone who's climbed the tower 4 times now, I can confirm- nothing infuriated me more in this game more.
But that sight, specially during sunset, is so worth it for gposes.

Kugane Tower (Savage) : Jumping to the top of tower and get sightseeing log point
Kugane Tower (Ultimate) : Jump down from the top of tower into sightseeing log point over the lamp on the street

  8. I understand your pain. I still can’t win Kugane’s jumping puzzle. The closest I got was like 2 jumps away from the victory before I missed and fall into the abyss of hopelessness…

  9. try using controller instead of kb/mouse for jumping puzzles, it’s still hard but significantly easier for me than using on/mouse. I use my controller exclusively for golden saucer leap of faith and other jumping puzzles. I can now do the Kugane climb pretty consistently but the lamppost jump still very taunting.

  10. The Kugane tower was hard for me at first, but now I've done it so many times that I can just breeze my way up there effortlessly, and get the lamppost jump perfectly every time.

  11. I think the first time I tried I spent 8hrs on this damn tower. Went to sleep and got to the top within 15 minutes the following day waiting for a queue. I was kind of sad that they didn't have one in Shadowbringers (that I know of). I didn't know about the ones in the Firmament so I'ma have to check those out. w

  12. Attempting any kind of precision movement in a third person game on keyboard and mouse just seems like torture.

Edit: I typed this in before watching the entire video. You do WHAT? You move with your mouse?? Ho– WHY? lmao
