  1. They also fixed an issue with female hrothgar where the fur on the body had a way darker colour than the face fur. I'm glad they fixed that, it was very visible with my hrothgirl's dark fur. ^^

  2. I really hope we get DLSS frame Gen as well, was worried about the benchmark with my new 1440p monitor I got (mostly for dawntrail), but I got 17025 maxxed out!!! Anyone else pleasantly surprised or worried?

  3. Lighting still seems to get blown out with pale characters but otherwise it looks decent. Do kind of miss the cloud shadows though. A checkbox would have been nice but the inn lighting has never felt good to me before, might actually use it now.

  4. I wish my Miqo'te would still look like the original, eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth still look completely different to the current version…. i showed a before and after pic to friends who play ffxiv and don't play ffxiv and all of them said that the DT version looks like a completely different char.
I tried to recreate her as close as possible to the original with the other options in the char creator but it looks like my Miqo'te as I know her is gone forever.

Time to wait for the modders to fix that.

  5. They still didn’t touch the face paint textures in the benchmark. I’m sure it’ll be updated by launch but I do fear that they will forget about the face paints. My Au’ra doesn’t look like himself with ou the clown makeup lol

  6. Massive improvement to the CC overall. That new "non-blue" version of the Aetherial Sea background is a game changer. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted and asked for. Now we just need more camera controls in the CC.
I have noticed that my character (also a Moon Kitty) does look very slightly different than she did in Benchmark 1.0. I really had no issues with 1.0 version but it feels a little more like she's slightly more accurate to the current game, like a more accurate meshing of the current version and how she appeared in the first benchmark. Again, I had no real issues before but it does look like they've made even the small adjustments. I hope those who wanted bigger adjustments (like more accurate to live game Viera rabbit noses) also made out well.
Overall it really does seem like the models and more reactive to the light in general. The darker areas and darker and the brighter areas are definitely brighter.
Oh, and no change at all to my Benchmark score, which is to be expected.

  7. I noticed the elezen ears have a seam. I don't play elezen, but I love messing with them in the character creator, so I hope they fix this for people that it may bother!

  8. For my characters (a female xaela and male rava) I felt like there were very little changes beyond lighting in the benchmark test but the changes in the character creator were ASTRONOMICAL
something im glad about is that they fixed the strange white pixels surrounding au ra scales has been fixed

  9. The only gripe I personally had with the previous version was that my character had really thick eyeliners, which they didn't have before. It made them look like they went through a goth phase when I wasn't looking (which is ironic, being a BLM main and all).

I'm glad to see that fixed with the new version. Now I'm content.

  10. Hmm my Mikote still looks a bit off imho, but maybe that's because my usual hair style isn't available in the benchmark. I also kinda secretly hoped that I could have the canines and the cat eyes, but I guess they sticked to the… strange… system of before. :/

  11. I'm so happy with my midlander male who has face 5. Like you said, it was the reaction I wanted to have first time around where it just looks like a straight upgrade.

The new lighting in the crystal background is the best.
