  1. 4:30 oof, as a 35 year old man that grew up with Blizzard games this hits hard, back when Blizzard were making fun polished games that we all wanted to play and nothing else, this hurts my soul with the husk that's paraded around as Blizzard now

  3. I feel him on the crying thing. It won't even be a sad part in a book. And is very much something I probably read once before (WoT series) but man the most mundane things will get me teared up lol

  4. Sometimes I wonder if he has some dark side, some skeletons in his closet. How can someone be so incredibly nice and also so talented and hard working? Feels like a glitch in the Matrix. However, I quickly remind myself that, if had a dark side, we would've learned about that by now. No matter how good you are at faking, we all subconsciously do things that reveal our true nature. And Yoshida's work throughout the years has been full of hope and empathy. It's truly beautiful.

That is all to say… I believe he's the real deal. And it's so nice seeing someone like that getting the recognition they deserve.

  5. Hearing about Daoc just brought nostalgia to me. I count myself blessed to have played during the golden years from the base game and shrouded isles, only left near the end of catacombs. I remember getting up at 4 am just to get back online as a kid, hoping my parents wouldn't catch me up so early. The pvp (rvr in that game) was fantastic, but sadly no king rules forever. Yoshi-P, as a person who also played daoc, I salute you!

  6. So he's not a god, and is just a shy nerd like the rest of us?! lol I feel weird that a producer is just as human as the rest of us…even if you can call us human now. I kinda want to be my Miqote irl.

  7. A legend. A man of his status that walks out on stage in a reaper cosplay..I can't thank the FFXIV team enough. This game helped me out of a shitty dark depression, it heals people.

  8. Hah, I loved DAOC, Champion, Valewalker, Thane, so many other great classes, 3 way RvR combat, positional weapon attacks. You can definitely see bits of the design inspiring FFXIV.

  9. Cool video. Love to see more of this
And maybe not just from him but also other interesting figures who happen to be open enough to find this information (though i admit that last part reduces the amount of people fit for this type of content massively)

    On a very separate note.
Kinda looks like this channel already needs a rebrand to " Final bellular" or something "Bellular Fantasy" is another option but that sounds like a channel on a members only channel :p

  10. Yoshi-P stand for Producer, like we also have Matsui-P the new Producer of FF11. Very high hopes for a remake of FF11 20th anniversary or a new style of the old ps2 MMORPG and yes Yoshi-P is over FF11 aswell.

  11. I got my eyes lasered years ago and honestly apart from a very painfull two days I have no regrets. It's great now to not have to wear glasses or lenses. The only downside is that your eyes still change so for a while you'll be in the – until you get near sighted later in life. That and the constant eye drops when you feel like you're eyes aren't lubricated enough or you want to see very sharp details.

  12. I truly wish that Blizz could suck back their pride and ask Yoshi-P for advice. The singular factor for WoW would be having one character be every class like FF14. WoW has a better storage system, better xmog system, but needs help everywhere else. I would argue the classes in WoW are better but balancing and the AoE cap are awful. Class quests need to come back. Timewalking needs gone and permanence. More importantly, I want the developers to care about their product and be a hero of azeroth.

  13. Nice video, and solid content… but please consider not adding the eye-strain inducing "film grain" effect, or whatever it is that makes random bits flash all over the screen whenever a text quote is displayed. As someone who already has plenty of vision problems, that just makes things harder to read.
