i do agree they have been playing kinda safe
but think my biggest issue is just getting into the harder content in a natural way for somebody who is bad socially
maybe why i love Eureka and borzja cause it just happens naturally there
no finding a group and stuff which i hate
No one is a loser, everybody is a winner, here is your participation award. . . welcome to the world of gaming in the 21st century.
I noticed the issues back in SB when jobs to gauges that didn't make sense. Any class that has a gauge designed around a single skill always confused as to why this skill can't just be a cd (bard soul gauge for example). Then you have paladin for example that received a gauge and just had skills that previously had cds moved to it. It was the first time I felt the devs had made a weird design choice. And it only went down hill from there.
I think people let there emotions get the better of them, the game simply isn't good and hasn't been good for some time. Sure it has a story, but too this videos point, look how much was lost just to push a good story.
This whole vid is incredibly cringe lol. "People like and defend the game too much!! Fk them!!" Like bro who cares just play the game if you enjoy it or don't if you you rather play something else lol.
i have stopped doing dungeon rolos because of DT. Its not like i did them once and never went back, i have tried many times but every run was a mess because of me and i dont like being that party member. im not gonna go and complain about it, just means theres less for me to do
Yoshi P's idea of an MMO is the reason why i wont come back. The gearing is boring, theres no reason to do raids, since every single raid tier, theres the on ramp of crafted gear. Sideways progression needs to be more prevalent, even if its just during the 3 tiers of the raids. Open world serves no purpose. Lastly, no real endgame, like at all.. weekly reset raids does not an endgame make
48:54 I play both WOW and FF14, and the discussions in DT reminded me of the WOD/BFA era in WOW. It makes me wonder if same issues would hit these popular MMORPG games, and they all need to go back and think what is the player base to target.
I didnât get to play DT until 7.1 was already released. Wuk Lamat didnât really bother me, but I just felt there was not enough content delivered so far, and the cutscenes were in place to stretch it out. Even 7.0+7.1 together felt short for a new expansion release to me. Maybe resources were strained due to other projects that they are working on?
SE made dawntrail for a very small minority and now Yoshi is begging ppl not to quit how ironic is that. Dawntrail wasn't made for me so I didn't purchase it even though I'm a 10-year vet.
Nothing is wrong with YoshiP, but he works for a company that was infamous for accepting Western woke philosophy. YoshiP was just aa much a victim as the rest of us and Square execs screwed him over and he fell on the sword for them.
21:41 Y'know a game that adds plenty of danger to the world? Xenoblade Chronicles! Territorial Rotbart says hello!
Shadow bringers was this best narrative Iâve ever played. Gameplay wiseâŠoutdated but thatâs not why I play ff14.
The gearing system is 'boring'? Buddy, thatâs actually a good thing. The last thing we need is for the dev team to waste time on some convoluted gearing system thatâs a nightmare to balanceâlike what happened in the last six WoW expansions. Seriously, do people have goldfish memories
gearing is supposed to be a means to end notthe experience itself
We been saying for a long time that FFXIV was not taking enough risks, but now it is all unraveling because of how bad the MSQ was and lack of original PVE zones like Eureka.
I wanna do harder than normal stuff but the way ppl are about it puts me off from even trying to find a static to do said stuff. I really want to do UCoB bc I am a bahamut special interest haver. I am dragging a friend thru EW maps to try and get a wife(Emet-Selch) minion naturally. She thinks I should just buy it off the MB and even offered to buy it for me. I could also buy a job progression skip for all my alt jobs. They are equal in my eyes. I don't find that fun.
I kind of disagree that raiders notice problems first, because YoshiP seems to really care about raids and ultimates more than casual content. I think in this situation casual and. longtime veterans who were mid-casual first knew about many problems that were forming and have been trying to explain it for years.
Tbh as a casual player myself, I also feel like the game is lacking big time. Give us an incentive to explore the open world solo content and give us puzzles and stuff. How about allowing hybrid customization of jobs instead of sticking to a rigid formula? How about making elemental damage a thing.
I enjoyed Dragonflight but I think people are coping about The War Within's story. It's absolutely garbage.
I'm glad that Zep reacted to this video, because I stopped watching the original when all he did was whine about 16, and took too long to get to the point.
Tbh, at least a fifth of the overall 'playerbase' is just bots and RMT. All you can do is watch in amazement as the Gridania Aetheryte keeps spitting out potatoes endlessly as they promptly vanish in to the void, lol. Honestly this game started to lose me when everyone was hellbent on making a 2 minute meta so your job can only be optimally played in one way. Sucked all the fun and versatility out of everything. Or everyone forcing a single strat just because its their favorite streamers or youtuber. I always liked facing a problem and being able to solve it correctly in multiple ways. But you can't blame them; once you start stripping jobs of their identity you don't give many options to play off of.
I thought it was general knowledge that FF14 was always story focused first gameplay second? If anything the next two big patches should focus on more modernization and gameplay innovation.
51:36 Crazy Cause the last time I heard them say class overhaul and redesign, I stopped playing after it came out. Sorry for anyone playing the classes they chose
In 8.0 with all the jobs changes they are promising, they better remove job actions restrictions that come with level sync job actions and just add traits to balance damage numbers. This only has upsides and i don't understand why they refuse to do it. The different content they couldnt implement in older zones without being restricted to players at max level, would be wonderful and would actually make the game feel like an mmo.
I love bozjan, bring that style of content to overworld zones, or at least one zone and rotate zones every patch.
Make A/S ranks attack you like the other mobs do and make mobs do more damage, let players die and ask someone for a rez, make a weekly where an npc gives a hint to a treasure somewhere in the overworld, just like we have aether currents, implement a treasure feature where we can find treasures while we do msq, to incentivise players to explore the zone and stop with your excuse of spaghetti code (which can be valide, fine) to do nothing.
Also either fix your patch schedule or give us more content, 1-2 months with nothing new to do is horrible
I've no hope for this, but please impress me again xD
I don't understand why people use kiddie gloves with this shit. SE has another MMO to pull from and questing in FFXI is a billion times better and more fulfilling give or take whether you like the difficulty of the game.
Also I'm glad the person in the video said it, SE isn't our friend and Yoshi P. Is most likely making BANK with his only real goal to maximize profits for SE. The writing is on the walls. A mobile game, FF16 to try and push a specific kind of easier to develop content, Yoshi P saying that they won't change their formula, etc.
Ff14 needs a mythic+ dungeon system
My idea for the open world is simple:
Special S-Class Hunts that are extremely powerful encounters that also spawn Special FATEs within their vicinity. Have the levels of the FATEs appropriate for the zone they occupy.
Make hunt monster so strong it requires a minimum of 3 to 4 full alliances (typically 72-96 players) to defeat.
– *Rewards:*
– Rare items
– A substantial amount of gil
– Tomes
– Potentially a mount version of the Mark
*FATE Details:*
– *Experience:* Grants double EXP to participants.
– *Rewards:*
– Rare materials
– Gil
– Tomes
– Possibility of obtaining a minion version of the FATE monster
*Notifications:*
– All players in the region receive a system notification regarding the spawn, detailing the zone and precise positioning of the Special S-Class Mark.
All those ways of gearing in WOW and its still boring and the gear is meh.
