  1. Disclaimer: This is a toxic comment and I did not watch the video.

Any changes they do to Tanks will, without fail, make Tanks worse. Yoshi-P is nothing more than a DPS hitting grifter ruining other roles because he can’t play them himself and, worse than that, can’t even do DPS right.

  2. So PLD gets "Restore MP" and a DoT that doesn't stack with Goring Blade with his new Blade combo. Feels kinda wack because you will have less to do: You don't have to reappply DoT and you don't need to build up MP for your combo anymore.
It's also interesting that they removed the Skill Speed requirement and put in charges. I wonder if they'll change Skill Speed or remove it.

  3. When they said that tanks would be rewarded for using well-timed defensives, I immediately thought of TBN, and was pleased that other tanks would possibly be getting something similar but in their own flavor. I have all tanks to 80, and DRK feels like the only one that can actually do something about an incoming tank buster. If I use 20% + TBN, I just take a sliver of damage. If I use 30% + TBN, I usually completely mitigate it. So I had high hopes for this claim and am pretty disappointed. They could have done something like a Paladin self heal that is triggered by damage, so you could see the incoming tank buster being casted, cast "healtron", which would be triggered by the incoming damage, so it would function like a after-the-fact-TBN.

It's not all bad news though, as it seems they fixed every single problem I had with the Paladin. They fixed every ability I thought was wonky, they greatly improved its self healing seemingly to a ridiculous degree, added some group healing, and added a ton more MP regen. With these massive improvements and the stagnation of the DRK, I will be switching to PLD. I still want something akin to TBN though for every tank. There's just something about the active and timely mitigation that feels so good and like what a tank should be doing.

  4. So and correct me if I'm wrong, but Unmend and the DRK AOE combo are "Spells". If i understand what you said about the melee vs magical correctly, then the Unmend and the AOE rotation did in fact get a nerf right?

  5. From all the extra ways to heal added to tank classes I guess that takes some stress of healers so they can encourage them to dps more without fear of failing on the healing role. Look forward to playing my new levelled up Paladin, got this far gotta carry my 1.0 main all the way to the end of this journey. 😁

  6. concidering that DRKs Invuln has not changed, ever, i am amazed that DRK has the least amount of self healing of all tanks. i expected SOMETHING more for DRK. all other Invulns are usable in solo, just not LD/WD

DRK will stay my main, but only for fun. for Prog i will likely go PLD. I have mained Tanks since 2.0 closed beta and only started liking WAR with Shadowbringers, but DRK was my fav. i usually keep DRK and PLD equally leveled anyways…

  7. As a WAR main I feel like our self healing got gutted. From getting 50% of all damage done returned as healing to a 400 pot cure per weapon skill used. We gonna be squish in dungeons.

  8. I've never known what potency goes off of, so the lowering of numbers doesn't really bother me. So long as people can hit the dps checks I'm good. I'm going to likely have a heavensward-endwalker run so that'll be fun. Unless I make an alt but eh, I'll wait on that.

  9. It’s strange to me that they would buff the out-of-combo abilities but weaken the in-combo abilities. The only time I ever press a button out of combo (and thereby breaking the combo or not engaging it at all) is by accident. I’m still fairly new so I imagine there are good reasons for this but as a newbie this seems very strange to me

  10. the differences in the timing for shelltron upgrade, heart of stone upgrade, and raw intuition upgrade. for shelltron the first 4 seconds of use, gives 35% mitigation, and 20% mitigation for the next 4 seconds, along with a hot for 12 seconds. gunbreaker gives 30% mitigation for the first 4 seconds with HoC, then 15% mit for the next 4 seconds afterwards. thats what they were referring too. unfortunately there was no upgrade for dark knight's TBN, and warriors is mostly just a bloodsucker effect post raw usage. so if you time your HoC or HS just right, you'll get a much bigger damage mitigation (in relation to your first comment about the statement yoshi p made during the key note at 2:00 of your video)

  11. Honestly kind of meh about losing the OGCD during Inner Release. Was really excited to pool a couple Onslaught charges to weave them during Inner release, but now it just doesn't really matter. Was the small bit of skill expression I really enjoyed on Warrior (whom doesn't have a whole lot of it to begin with) that is missing now so I'm a little sad how apathetic I am about the job, especially seeing that Primal Rend is also a gap closer. (Inner Release > Primal Rend gap close > 3xFell Cleave would be lit)

Tbh, the QoL change to Gnashing Fang makes it a more attractive version of an Inner Release window (even if it's not as smashy), while the extra cartridge will hopefully loosen up the rotation so it's not as tight (which has been my big issue with GNB), so definitely leaning towards Gunbreaker now.

  12. On Dark Knight, outside of Living Dead and Dark Mind needing to be changed, I'm perfectly fine with Dark Knight not getting much changes. The class is in a really good spot right now and what it is getting that is new works even better. Letting Living Dead make all Dark Knight abilities do healing when they do damage would help alleviate how healer dependent that tank invulnerability ability is compared to the other tank's invulnerability ability.
