ive been playing WoW since vanilla and i remember one day logging in and just going through the motions- not having fun – which – for a game lol – is the point – right? fun ? enjoyment. thats when i tried ff14 and never looked back . i feel like WOW is like a bad relationship that you're just staying in because of all the time youve spent together – when you BOTH know its been over for a while .
Oh wow a youtuber that uses a female roegadyn, and not a catgrill, that's so cool XD. Its easy to forget they exist since not many people use female roe
Housing is very difficult to get. Basically expect to sit by a signpost and click on it for 12 hours, and even then you might not get the house as there will be other people clicking along with you. Housing is also a way to keep you subbed as if you don't log into the game in 45 days, then you will lose the house. They obviously HAVE to do this or else there would be no houses available, but it still sucks.
Apartments are much easier to get and don't get taken away from you if you unsub. So if you think you are going to be an occasional unsubber, go for the apartment. If you love that, hey, you can always try to get a house in the future
The graphics just turns me off
I agree FFxiv is its own thing. So its very hard to say if you will or won't like it till you try it. Regardless of what your preferences are you may like ffxiv.

As a Paladin main you will see a level 80 the rotation and how fun it is between balancing defensive and doing dps. You are 100% correct on the off gcd abilities being the big thing. btw it really breaks my heart when I do not see Arm's Length on your hotbars. It is such a massively important ability.
I am one of those people I only play FFXIV if there's a new MSQ haha
For grinding you just have to step in Eureka
Sprout here! Just hit 51 on my bard. The game has a slow start but eventually picks up in pace and difficulty.
10:30 There is or rather was a competive scene for PVP. There was a 4v4 gamemode called the Feast that was ranked with rewards in the ladder. Though the problem was is that it was poorly moderated and has mandatory solo que so you can't play with friends. But as if Endwalker 6.1 the'll be removing the Feasts permanently, so one less gamemode in an already sparce pool. Really sad tbh.
