I used to play WoW. And ever since I quit, back in 2012, I have been looking for a game to spark MMO desire in me again…. Now looking at FFXIV – it looks good, but – it's just not the same…

any plans on buying the game soon? free trial isnt THAT limiting so you could stick with it if money is an issue or you arent sure if you wanna buy it yet, but would love to be able to trade you things in game ^^
I already have it. But it won't let me login. I can't remember my password. I have it for my PS5. I remember playing it on my PS3. And I really enjoyed playing the game. Plus it was the demo. Now that I got for free on my PS5 I can't play it which is sucks because I have to wait for it when it comes out in November of this year

Interesting that you picked up on the FF XII influences even this early on – you might already have read that Yoshi P. was inspired to work at Squaresoft to be able to work w/ Tactics/XII's creator Mastuno (and was disappointed that Mastuno left before they could work together, which Stormblood remedied). Lot of Ivalice fans on the development staff at XIV and it shows in ARR and HW, let alone SB and ShB/Bojza

The brand-new pieces are exactly the same stats as the gear that drops in sastasha, copperbell and the deepcroft.
Ff12 was on of yoshi p’s favorites games so he took a lot of inspiration from it when rebuilding this game
I might be late but there are 3 favorites and 1 free. Favorites don't make the destinations free. Things might be different though on the free trial though. The authenticator is for the free destination.
