  1. You'll probably figure this out soon (if not already) but you don't need to move so much as a tank. I noticed during the boss fights you kept moving like you were dodging the auto attacks. You don't need to do that, and it could become difficult for some DPS jobs to hit their positional if the boss keeps moving.

    Anyway, enjoy the msq.

You shouldn't worry so much. That is just how Astrologian and White Mage plays. They will let you drop uncomfortably close, before popping you back up again. Trust me, White Mage is my main healer.
If you're popping all your cooldown (not all at once), you are doing a good job. Granted, you could probably use the stat boost of new gear and go to an inn room to make your fire hydrant a glamour plate instead.

  4. I like the Company of Heroes. They're all pretty neat. But yeah the silliness of that whole arc and the triumph of beating Titan is SO GOOD with what comes next. I'm really excited to continue the story. I want to get to level 50 and do the FFXV event!

  5. Oh yeah, this HURTS. It comes out of nowhere but makes total sense for your enemies, and the game doesn't shy away from the messy, horrible consequences. This is where the writing truly got me.

  6. I'd say congratulation, I think you finished one of the worst, fetch questy part of the MSQ with all this wine and cheese nonsense, at least the dungeon was good in it.
    Enjoy the ride moving forward

  7. That particular MSQ didn't get me once. It got me twice. The first time was me playing the game like normal sproutiness. The second time was two years later on an alt because I had forgotten about it and it hits so fast and so hard.

    Welcome to FFXIV!!

  8. When I started FFXiV back when ARR came out, I chose monk and for a while all you get as mele dps is subligars, I have a deep seated hatred for them specially since there was no glamourr at that point iirc.

  9. Gotta get that tin can into your glamour dresser to create a glamour plate for you to apply to every armour from here on out… Also, I preferred the Brayfox Longstop last boss before they changed the fight to accommodate NPC parties… It used to be he would spit big poison balls onto the floor, and the tank had to pull him out of them, 'cus it healed the boss if he stood in it

  10. Oh man… if you think that ARR scene destroyed you, just wait. That is the first of many many heartbreaking plot twists that will occur throughout your journey

  11. Forge on, my friend. The emotional damage hits harder and harder as you go. Can't wait to see you reach Shadowbringers. That expansion gave me a sinus infection from all the crying. Puffy face for a month, lol. Enjoy the ride that is FFXIV!

  12. Hope you like the grey hair: As you progress through group content in 14 and you get more competent healers, you really start to understand that the only hitpoint that matters to them.. is your last hitpoint 😂
