First
First time in channel, what do we do here?
200 hours and still in the tutorial, and only played about 30 minutes of that 200 hours. The rest was watching a full length shitty dub anime.
Come at me weebs, your anger fuels me.
552 hours since july… It was a journey. I stopped playing for a month, because I was devastated by MSQ. I return this week. Feels like home.
Guildwars2 is a good wow replacement. Fucking great combat too!
Fucking Rick Rolled by Acco and LxB 🤣🤣 🥰
Only on half the amount of hours you are but I blitzed through ARR, I was so bored but I gave it a chance in the quests leading up to Heavensward and fell in love with Heavensward itself. Doing Stormblood now and idk if it's just me but I found that so far it's a bit how ya doin and I'm having a hard time caring about the story and characters. I've heard a few people felt the same way but unanimously it seems that Shadowbringers is where it's at so I'm gonna gun it to that and take me time with that and Endwalker.
I didn't have the same experience at all and made me uninstall it, i hated the story, the cut scenes and the combat was just not for me.
I just moved into FFXIV like 2 months ago, and i was literally you skipping all of the dialog but then started my healer now a white mage and i cant put it down, i love the story, yes it was slow at first but its has picked up to the point sometimes im like.. wait whattttt?!!! its like watching an anime while i play it, i love it. i have dabble much into the casino and stuff but I'm waiting to do that once I'm a bit higher level. honestly i have been trying to convince my friends to migrate with me, but we are playing Classic TBC which wasn't a bad expa so its been hard to get them to do anything else.
I tried to play this but it didn't grab my heart. IMO, if after a few hours and I'm not into it then I leave. WoW had me instantly. I just can't get into the anime-like toons, it was overwhelming and I felt like I was spinning my wheels. So, I moved on. But for those of you playing it and loving, totally happy for you!
It took me 300 hours just to beat 5.0. It's absolutely cursed. I love it.
Review the hildibrand questline
Nah but seriously play the hildibrand quest line it spans across each expansion
"Everyone's a DPS" is literally how WoW works..
Tanks and healers are just as focused on optimizing their DPS as DPS classes.
Sure at Normal and Heroic you'll have your healers just standing around, maybe casting a few spells here and there when not healing, but at higher M+ keys and Mythic raiding, having a healer that is almost as much a DPS as a healer is critical to success.
I'd argue there's less need to optimize your DPS rotation as a tank and healer, especially healers, in FFXIV…
There's just not much else to the classes than pressing your DPS rotation so that's what happens lol
"Don't care, just wanna kill some stuff and start leveling" Was probably the funniest thing in the video given that killing mobs for exp doesn't exist lol
A note to any thinking of playing, please dont let the ff communities over zealousness put you off, we mean well and can be overly excitable, it truely is a amazing experience that we wish only to share with those who have not yet done it . You will either quit in A realm reborn or become a walking advert for the game, most pre assumptions you will have about the game will be obliterated by the time you reach level 50 in the story, finally to any would be warriors of light in the waiting, welcome to eorzea.
Sounds good that you enjoy the Game, I always say it gets better around 40-50, the beginning is more like a beginners guide of the game, unlocking some stuff like PVP and some dungeons that is like most dungeons. But pacing and alot gets better later on in the game. But most fun stuff opens up around 50. As someone that never raid, ffxiv got my safe point and now I regular do it everyday and learning 🙂 thats how a game should feel like having fun everyday, and do what I want of my time. Thanks for a great video
The support is fantastic to see.
The sweaty gamer in me would love a revamp of the early game, but the more people I met in FFXIV the more I realized that even though I hate the slowness and hand holding tutorials and early dungeons, it is paced so that people who are playing this as their first MMO can keep up and learn.
I got my wife to try it, she liked the PS2 era Final Fantasies but hated online games. She was able to learn and progress through.
Now she's progging Ultimate and beats my ass in parses. Oops.
… Hits X on all the pop-up tutorial boxes, later states that googling is required… You know, googling isn't required right?
You're far from free to do whatever you want.
You are forever shackled to the MSQ and burdened with the unending task of slugging through dialog boxes.
Aight nobody asked and I'm sure nobody cares but FFXIV is best described as a picture book with great Boss fights, trash mobs live up to the name and the community defines the majority of the fun. You can get lost in this game and find lots to enjoy and that's a good thing.
JESUS CHRIST… I'll tell you one thing… This music scared the sould out of my body and made my fokin ears bleed
Weird it took you to Ul'Dah first.. I didn't get there until around level 25ish. It started me in Limsa and I took Au'Ra too. Though I wasn't a fan of the tons of cutscenes either but it grew on me in time.
Its great that you dont have to stick to any certain way to play the game. I myself am trying to get all the Discipline of War/Magic to 50, Marauder right now, so I enjoy the Fates and the Levequests. I also like the Levequests because you can get items, armor and weapons out of the treasure chest, not to mention retainer tokens to send your retainer on a hunt or exploration after you assign them a job/class. As far as the gathering and crafting jobs, very well designed. I have great fun as a fisher going to the Limsa docks and participating in the ocean fishing. Leveling is so fast here.
I had so much fun just stalking around the Black Shroud during the surprisingly enjoyable thunderstorms that I wound up several levels above the MSQ.
