A lot of players and steamers of ffxiv make a habit of watching the trailer for the next expansion after they've beaten the previous one. I encourage doing the same with your playthrough, as the trailers follow the main story quest and tease what's to come. So with ARR beaten you would watch the Heavensward trailer, and then after beating that expansion, Stormblood etc.
You can view the trailers from the main menu of the game before logging onto a character. If you're in-game you simply log off to watch the movie before logging back in. (so you don't need to worry about sound levels or switching to streaming a different window or application).
I would also encourage doing the Coils of Bahamut dungeons. They're not required, but they were released in ARR and give insight into what happened during and following the calamity.
In case no one mentioned it. The fight with Lahabrea LITERALLY WAS an 8 player fight. They just removed all of it and made it into a solo fight.
Missed tha live, noooooo
Always happy to welcome a new Warrior of Light!
