This is the first part of Xeno’s Warrior Guide for Final Fantasy 14. In this video Xeno goes over warrior’s opener and rotation, and discusses how to use key DPS skills such as Inner Release, Upheaval, Storm’s Eye, Inner Chaos and Infuriate. He also gives a quick dungeon guide at the end of the video. Unlock the beast within and play WAR like a MAN!
*Correction: At 2:57 Maim gives 10 beast gauge and not 20 as said in the video.

Warrior guide huh this can be done with a 5 min guide
Smooth brain warrior master race!
Holy crap did this man get an editor finally?? Nice video Xemo keep em coming we really appreciate them!
I love these videos.
Sadly, the last thing bout wall to wall pulls, I'm about 50/50 about whether I do wall to wall pulls half the time because I just don't trust my random healers.
For example, I had a duty roulette group this morning. It was Doma Castle. First bit was the wall-to-wall pulls, seemed fine, but it was clear the healer was playing that game where they wait to see how low your health can get before they toss you one or two heals to bring you back to 40-50% hp or whatever. Not even a top up between pulls. I'm used to this from other runs like this lately though, so I move on.
After the first boss clear, we move on and we're on the stationary guns part where you gotta avoid the gunfire. There's like only like 3 guards so I pull them into the next section where a couple dogs come out and I think there is a robot or something and next thing I know I'm tanking the floor. The party wipes and we gotta do our run of shame.
It was at that moment where I figured "well, I'm just going to pull one group at a time until someone gets mad." I imagined the entire time that my character was just pulling enemies and slowly looking at the healer every pull with a big grin like "you brought this on yourself" as I hardly take any damage, but hey, at least they could DPS to their heart's content.
See this on asmongold reddit in 3….2…1….
I learned something. Thanks dude.
Love to see it. I always remember watching the 8-man Twintania runs you done years ago and the infamous 'Get Skinny'. What a legend.
Warrior main
As a healer in a JP data center, I almost never see tanks that don't pull wall to wall.
I disagree about dungeons being easy. Triple sprout roulettes can reach mythic difficulty.
So what I learned today is that it's fine to waste a bit of time on a first pack in a dungeon to get my SE up. Thanks
I really just need to know about nascent flash timing been told to use it every upheaval but I’m not sure if that’s right
on that dungeon note, Yoshi P took out TP specifically to AOE damage speedrun dungeons, so wall to wall pulls are encouraged
Does he have Gunbreaker Guide?
Was hoping you'd mention grabbing threat during wall-to-walls with Thrill/Equilibrium, but yes otherwise excellent explanation of unga bunga.
I don't know about anyone else but even knowing that I should not infuriate during inner release I still find myself during it every now and then and it brings the feel bads with it. Doesn't help the game has literally taught you to do this since ARR though and that's a hard coded muscle memory. Good vid Xeems looking forward to part two. Aha I see you also added the rotation to this one hahaha thanks bro.
more sir, more!!!
Has he made a video like this for GNB?
play warrior like a man you say? 70% ppl watching are playing some cat or lizard girl haha
Any plans to make one of these guides for gnb too?
do monk guide. I wish I had a 30 second dps buff. lord have mercy.
I hate inner chaos and chaotic cyclone, I remember watching the job action trailer the first time and not even realizing they were new abilities since they're litterally reskinned inner beast and steel cyclone with more particles. I want to love warrior as my main from 2.0 but the gameplay has felt dead to me since the…what was it… 4.2 change? when they merged berserk into Inner Release..
The only reason I play warrior is to establish dominance
Love these videos. Your editing is on point.
Storms eye can last 60 second now isn’t it? So you can refresh it whenever when is under 30 second right? Unless the boss is about to die then you lose dmg for trying to extend it right?
Holmgang CD is 4 minutes.
Gap between tankbusters on final boss of nier 3 is 4 minutes.
I will never not play warrior there.
Them Kids: Cooldowns? Thats funny, I’ve never mad to use those before.
Followed the guide, yet still got my dick stuck in a fan. WAR for life!
Love the videos bro, but wall to wall pulling is healer dependent, and the whole idea of healer dps gets in their head and they literally just do not heal and I'll explain using an example. Castrum "whatever" (don't remember the exact name but it's the level 69 stormblood dungeon), I'm level 70 with full ilvl 400 poetic gear (it ilvl syncs you but I'm capped anyway), first room is 3 mobs, grab and pull to second room where 3 more mobs spawn, you can't go any further because you have to kill the first 3 in the second then 3 more spawn then you can move forward. So we have a grand total of 6 mobs, it's basically a baby dick pull. I get to the end and pop everything, rampart, vengeance, arms reach, thrill. The healer throws out like 2 heals, healing me back to full from the initial barrage and then proceeds to dps. Second barrage comes in, I'm down to like 65-70%, third 45-50%, fourth 15-20%, still no cast from the healer so I hit my heal and I'm up to like 40-45% again, fifth stuff is getting low but it's not dead yet I'm at like 10-15%, still no heals from healer, he's dpsing and finally I die and the never even started a cast and has over 9000 mana. And these are the types of healers you commonly get while leveling in dungeons. I'm with you, wall to wall should be standard, it's not hard for either the healer or the tank, I have had healers that have no issue with it and can still dps, but when you have no idea who is behind that keyboard, it's just not worth it to pull everything and die needlessly because your healer isn't conscious or thinks that he's a dps. Dps meta or no, a healer is still a healer, not a dps no matter how you rationalize it and people just don't seem to think that they need to heal sometimes. Keep up the great work! Sorry for the book
Coming back after years, glad to see the OG's still have us covered.
P$$y tank with the shield? Alright alright…in 1v1 PLD would destroy all three of the other tanks face to face 😄
fucking love the thumbnails xD
I love how Xenos is extremely loyal to Warrior job It'd be epic if Xenos could do guides for all jobs imagine how many ffxiv players will improve on their main jobs if that happens!
WAR: 2 TB's? 2 EZ..
-asks in stream what his intro to rainbow mage video is. Day later, I hear it in this video again. Link me that man's SoundCloud. He's a genius.
Not a little hard, a lot hard.
This is the best class guide I've ever seen in my life.
Ok, so why is Inner Chaos bad? It's not as much damage as Confiteor, big whoop, that doesn't make it bad. Does it fuck with your rotation somehow because it's suboptimal to use it during Inner Release?
Can we get the old butchers block animation in place of storms path?
How did you manage to show the remaining HP from the target???????????
Any dungeon after ARR doesn't even allow for proper wall to wall pulls. They put some gateway between every 3 trash groups. Any baby can manage these pulls. The height of difficulty in FF14's baby mode dungeons is when they put a ranged mob in the second group or something so you have to pull the third group to the second or break line of sight.
My wish for Endwalker would be harder dungeons. Like make an easy difficulty with trust NPCs for people who only care about the story and then make the normal dungeons much harder. Would make re-running dungeons to level other jobs so much more fun. Some of them are so amazingly designed with fun boss mechanics. But you can ignore just every single mechanic since they are just so easy. If I fail an obvious mechanic and it doesn't even hit for half of my health as a DPS it's just pointless. I'm not asking for savage dungeons, but at least make it possible to wipe when people fuck up.
man i just hate tanks that don't use sprint in dungeon
