I don't really go about straight up insulting people, but those discord owners are pretty fucking stupid and ignorant of what is and isn't allowed per ToS considering datamining is not fucking allowed according to ToS. Trying to argue that what they did was in the 'grey area' is fucking stupid.

FFXIV nightclubs are some of the best events out of any MMO. These events are the same feeling I felt raiding MC with 40 people back in the day. It's to bad other MMO doesn't have this community feel.
The ffxiv community has gotten really bad. The ERP/Nightclub players are just creepy adults ERPing with children.
What is funny is all the controversy around the billboard is going to get more people to go to the thing then the actually billboard.
I'd argue it breaks the commersial part of the TOS/Material Agreement. They paid for advertisement, they are posting twitch channels that will very likely get bits and donations.

The whole point of the moding community is about no visibility, these jackass put this up on a billboard? they deserves all the hate. Could they not have done it without pose modding or data mining a glam?
Now this… This is comedy.
This is big just because those who use any other kind of mod fear that this might force SE to enforce their ban on mod user harshly. It's nothing about trademark or legal. It's more about this billboard just shout "Hey! We have datamine and we mod that into the game for erp". And we know the fact that SE doesn't like datamining and publically porn on their platform. So it basically they probably not happy about this and probably use any mean to stop it. Maybe just take the billboard down, Maybe ban the Viera or someone responsible in the FC, Or maybe ban all the modder altogether. We probably will just laugh if the 2 prior things I've said is actually happened. And only fear for the last.
Basically anyone use mods so anyone got anxious.

BTW. The interview is lit. IMO maybe some people just hate them after seeing they're so confident that they didn't break any ToS. At least I was just amazed by the billboard at my first sight.

These guys and the entire drama around this advert has generated more actual advert for their in-game service than what they seem to have paid for the actual real life advert.
i'm only going to talk about the characters, ONLY THE CHARACTERS and all i can say about the characters in the image is;
if you want to play female viera, you will not have access to that hair style, it doesn't exist in the game. females do not have that body shape, even that outfit will not give you that bust shape.
if you want to play male highlander you will not have access to that body shape, or those pants. that vest is also not true to the ingame chest for male highlanders.
this isn't photoshop, if it is thats some mad fluid tool skill.
just so anyone who see's these characters and think "oh hey that's a pretty/cool female/male character i wanna try and make mine look like that" you can't. simple as. not without mods anyway (':

As a Venue owner and someone know the ToS very well it definitely is against ToS and there is no way around this. I understand they're motivate and I respect the hustle, but I feel like they are very very new to this kinda thing and that they need to be taught so.

Small update to this case they said no one was banned wich is also not true the bunny girl in the billboard has said on her twitter that she got a 10 day ban and her account is under investigation for a perma she was also told to remove everything over it

The thing is legal systems in Japan are other than in america. In japan they HAVE to do something aginst against things like that when it gets to big or they might loose the rights for that IP.
Also yes, you can view the outfit on your character. But you cant emote while wearing it without a 3rd party tool. So for players its 100% clear that this was used here.

WTF! Who cares haters. This was awesome. They did a fun thing for their game they love and hang out. The only thing it did was give publicity for the game. Seems the game community is like some beaten down scared citizens of North Korea or something. So scared they would be thrown into the dungeons to be beaten or starved. Jesus people!
