Not sure if you know but when a skill has the pulsating orange border it means you can interrupt it (like seductive scream)
Tanks and ranged DPS both have interrupts, I think yours should be called head graze or something
So no, it's not unavoidable, a ranged DPS or the tank can interrupt it (or stun the mob also, given it's not a boss and therefore not stun immune)
Didn't notice it until watching this that Captain Carvallain has the same voice actor as Zenos.
Have you tried to climb to the top of Kugane Tower? There is a pretty big jumping puzzle to get there with a /lookout spot on the very top. Then you have to jump off of it in a specific spot and land on top of the lightpost to get the /lookout spot on top of it.
Best of luck to you!
In this episode 2 gets catfished.
<3 The Namazu <3
Always thought this was a call back to Square’s first mmo FF11. You would get attacked on ships by ghosts or creatures. They considered it for 14 by scrapped it.
Namazu are the best thing ever! You should totally do their beast quest when you start crafting!
Also, just loved the Spirit Away reference!
9:58 ruh roh Raggy!
ah yes the first dungeon, a FF5 reference.
8:46 — Fun fact about the Kraken's Arms crew, they are actually your honest pirates: there is a lvl1 or so quest, where they ask you to deliver "spices" in Limsa. One of them goes to the Boss of the Culinarians guild, who praises the good quality of the spices, and the second is indeed the Yellow Jackets, aka the Lominsam Police, their agent saying something like, "yeah, spices, all good". Long story short, the Krakens have found a lucrative business in the spice trade with the Far East 🙂 They are still pirates, but you could've done worse 😀 Plus, did you already guess whose son the captain is? I admit, I didnt notive first time around…
16:50 — Yeah, you have to interrupt that one ^^ The "seduce"-cast, otherwise you lose controll over your character and stand in the following AOC… Btw. tank, melees and physical range have such an interrupt skill 😉
19:00 — Probably some sea monsters, feasting on the Aether of they lured in victims. You did kill some half rotten corpses after all: those where crew members of the broken ships littering the place who didnt have a WoL on board.
25:50 — I cant help it but Hancock is hands down one of my all time favorites XD XD XD
43:05 — Yagiri will be part of the Weaver questline in Stormblood 😀
57:00 — The good thing about these stealth missions is that they take into account which direction the enemy is turned to – and you can sneak by relativly closely in his back.
Stormblood may have its weaknesses but the characters shine 🙂
1:08:55 — Not wasted. Think of these potential "future transgressions" 😀
10:13 It's not that Alphinaud doesn't believe it, it's the fact that he's scared of ghosts.
You were fishing quite a ton of jokes in this one xD
The last boss in that dungeon is so cool, def one of the memorable ones for me. And I had your same reaction when I first stepped into Kugane. Such a lively looking place, I love it so much.
Was also wondering if you'll be using BRD for all the expansions throughout the story? Or are you interested in looking into another class while doing MSQ as well?
