7 seasons with the exact same frames and no new rewards for spending trophy crystals on an entire new series. Yes, the best rewards system ever. Not to mention the wolf marks that haven't been updated in years
Win trading for most the crystals in top 100. But reaching diamond is just not something I personally can make it to but they do look nice.

I'm glad I don't like those weapons, so I don't have to do pvp. Also that glowy effect is very similar to some ARR weapons you can get with wolf marks. IDK it's been years since I've seen pvp rewards that would make me want to go through pvp boring hell just to get the rewards and that seem like is not going to change anytime soon so I guess that's a good thing for me.

Good direction but not enough imo. Top 100 should receive something unique for being in Top 100. I would even go so far to say Top 1 should get something no one else gets. Also as it looks like now the rewards will still be the same over multiple seasons and i'd prefer having unique rewards for each season which become unobtainable after.
problem is Queues still died in 2 weeks.
I been trying to when I am not raiding, but queues have been terribly long (even casuals!)
Oh hell… as good as they look … I won't deal with ranked PvP … It's just no fun to deal with the most toxic part of FFXIV after raiding.
2 items for a weapon might be too much, since even getting crystal only rewards 1 weapon. So if you wanted to collect them all it would take 19 seasons of pvp, assuming 2-3 season a patch it would take a couple of expansions to complete that task. That's even before new job additions and the possibility of even new weapons being added too. Getting top 100 for another weapon each time would still take an expansion or so. It's a bit ridiculous, let alone if you can only reach diamond, good luck.
If we could do duo or trio on these crystalline conflict, it would be really fun to so with friends. But alas, doing it solo becomes boring real fast for me.

Is it just me, or has the CC crowd really improved lately? Last season I had so many matches that felt like one or the other team had no ideas what was going on. This season, win or lose, the matches are always down to the wire. I think players are trying hard for these weapons!

There's still no incentive to do ranked. In able to move up the ladder in CC you need to win… Unfortunately, that is the problem… 99.99% of the time you aren't winning. You are losing, because your team is trash. At least in Crystal. It's kind of disheartening to lose 10 matches in a row, win one match, and then lose another 5. So, all that progress you worked towards is lost… On top of all this, the CC ladder doesn't reset at the beginning of each new season. So, if you somehow managed to get in the top 100 (which I don't know how you do this without cheating. How do you even get out of Bronze without cheating?), then you aren't leaving the top 100…
PvP is not really my cup of tea, but both the incentives and reward system structure show the right balance of respecting your time participating in the content vs effort.
I honestly wish the achievement system in general took similar approaches for their 20pt PvE content achievements.

really well said in the video! Love your cuts with the showcase of glamour rewards. Not only this, but look back at the event rewards we have gotten so far in 2023, kinda crazy right? 3 FULL sets out of 4 events. (not counting moogle event cause those happen often throughout the year)

I don't understand why they keep persisting in making these 1st 2nd 3rd whatever the fuck rewards. You only have to point to how ludicrous the standing differences between players on the leaderboards were BEFORE the PvP update happened to realize that SOMETHING is wrong.
In other words, ranked pvp participation is way down so they added a few more sprinkles to try and push participation in ranked because the rewards were very lackluster before.
Honestly im a brand new player and your videos have been a massive help for me. It can be very difficult to find answers to questions on this Game but your videos always help. Finished levelling my first Job (Reaper) and now trying to take up learning Tanking.

The new rewards are still bad, Feast had much better rewards, and those were being made for much smaller audience. They need to step up if they want to maintain the current pvp playerbase.
Ranking up from how many wins in a row you get for getting placed with randoms is a horrible system.
