  1. It was a bit cringe, but it wasn't that bad to be honest. Compared to 99% of live action ads it was okay. As everyone else said, costume design was 10/10

  2. I'll take classic advertising with a big dollop of cheesy acting and high production value & editing over the scuffed tiktok cringe that tries to copy badly edited meme culture.

  3. Did they really just use a quote from Breaking bad in an official video from an official Warcraft account. This is sad, they are the ones that shouldn't be getting away with that

  4. I mean it's an ad … seeing Mr T and celebrities from around the globe in Wow ads was more cringey. And oddly enough the acting was not better . And let's not even mention some of the past FFXIV ads

  5. As far as ads on social media go, they could've been a lot worse. At least there's some actual production value to them, even if the script could've been better.

  6. This feels like Square HQ was like, ‘k you guys, we have these actors from some corporate unnamed shindingle and they still have a couple more recordings available, our guys in finance threw up some scripts and they’ve been practicing a bit, give us a couple of backgrounds and send us an artist to do up the costumes.

At which Yoshi-P was like, can’t we just use some epic cinematic instead?

At which they replied, that’s going to cost us more money than our package deal with shizzfangle fantabulous eurostars, sorry man, you gotta tow the line.

At which Yoshi-P responds, well at least Asmon will get some good content out of it.

  7. This game is marketed entirely differently in Japan and in Europe. In the EU/OCE it is marketed as the actual gameplay footage. While in in Japan they advertise it as a social thing and as what MMOs are intended to be, a RPG to have fun with friends in. Square Enix NA is cringe in general anyway; I mean just look at their Twitch Streams compared to the EU and Japan community team is enough to go by alone.
